Quick Snap Sunday

Typical Sunday morning, I steal something, today it was dad's shorts. I ran around the house with them. It was kind of difficult, I kept tripping on them. But I managed alright. After getting chased and running into my sister a few times I'm now pooped. However, once someone comes over here to get these shorts from me I'm going to run again. #catchmeifyoucan #stillmaturing #maynevermature #momsfavorite #isteal

Ridiculous!

I woke up yesterday morning to the headline that read "How Arizona Got The Pandemic So Wrong"....I instantly laughed and thought to myself...no it's more like "how the media wants us to believe Arizona got the pandemic wrong". Let me tell you what is really going on.

Arizona is a battleground state for this next election. Trump has visited AZ twice in the last 5 weeks. Therefore the media has a new tactic. Their new tactic is to spread the notion that the republican president and governor didn't handle things very well. Look around it's happening in many republican led states, including my beloved Texas! Certain states: Arizona, Louisiana, Florida, and Texas all have out of control surges according to the media. They all have something else in common, republican governors. Kind of makes you go....hmm!

It's a given that the numbers were going to go up as states started to reopen and people started getting back to real life. Sadly though the numbers went up more than they should of, more than predicted. Why did those numbers go up? It's not because of lack of response or mishandling. It's because we have mindless idiots out protesting so soon after the states started to reopen. And who is to blame for mindless idiots protesting? In my opinion the mindless idiots that were protesting! It's so not right of the media and liberals to be raising this notion that things were mishandled. A couple months ago when the president was extending deadlines to pay loans, not allowing evictions, and issuing stimulus checks no one complained about the lack of response. Did they?

This virus is being used as political leverage, political warfare if you will. The media coverage is unfair and exaggerated. They are set on their own agenda. No such thing as unbiased media coverage anymore. The media basically only covers things from their viewpoint with a heavy emphasis on trying to embarrass anyone that doesn't have the same beliefs as them. I just thank God my mother did not raise an idiot! I can think for myself, thank you very much. I am not a gullible fool. I wasn't raised to be a mindless drone. You can blame my momma!

As Edgar Allen Poe once said...."Believe nothing you hear and only half that you see."

This quote was repeated to me so many times growing up by both of my grandparents. I really can't even begin to estimate how many times I was told this. It's so appropriate right now!

The Bath

Since I am Landon's groomer I prefer grooming him outside. We have the most perfect little bistro table for him to stand on. It's a little less mess outside. Although during the winter this past year I got pretty good at containing the hair situation during indoor groom sessions. The biggest negative to grooming outside is the possibility of Landon's friend next door named Moose coming outside. They love to run back and forth along the fence line.

So there I was the other day grooming my sweet little dude outside, he was done getting groomed and it was time to give him a bath. I carried him over to be closer to the outside hose setting him down on a lawn chair. Started bathing him, when all of a sudden two dogs were barking at the back of our fence. These were the same two dogs that I see getting walked in our neighborhood by their owner with no leashes ever. Of course upon hearing these strange dogs at the back of "his" fence, my completely head to tail soaped up little dude bounced off that lawn chair and went bolting to the back fence. He looked like a soaped up drowned rat standing his ground at the back of our fence. Highly intimidating...not! He ran back and forth guarding his property and running in and around everything we have in the backyard. Finally the owner of the two big dogs caught up to them and they all walked on, continuing down the walking trail behind our house. Yes, our house has a walking trail behind it, we aren't back to back with any other homes. Which we enjoy!! A soaped up little Landon was now a muddy dirty mess. I had to wash off the first round of soap along with the mud then start over. He had also gone through a sticker bush during all his fury. Normally he's aware of that sticker bush and avoids it but not when under pressure of protecting his homestead. He had so many stickers in him, he started whining. I was working as fast as I could to get them out, hearing his little whines was hard on his mommy. In the end he got groomed and had two baths thanks to a rendezvous along the back fence. It was the dirtiest messiest bath I've ever given.

On another note...I will never understand walking dogs without leashes. I see it a lot in our area. Bravo to them for having such seemingly well behaved dogs to "walk" off leash. But that's just the thing, the dogs I see are behaved decently enough however, they are still doing as they please while the owners do nothing. Allowing their dogs to run through neighbors yards, eat flowers, and cause other issues. I have two words...leash law! I know, I know, the leash law is only for 90% of us, it's not for the good dogs with the bestest owners. I'm being sarcastic! Be a good owner...love your dog enough to put him or her on a leash.

Quick Snap Sunday

It was a big day! I went to grandma and grandpa's to celebrate Father's Day. Spent time running around, getting into plants, and playing with my cousin Dylan. I had so much fun, but now I'm so sleepy. Goodnight everyone!

Happy Father's Day to the dads of humans and furbabies!!

Flashback Friday

Flashback to a time when I freaked out because I couldn't find Piper in the backyard. As I glanced from one area of the yard to the next I kept missing her. I believe she enjoyed the fact I kept missing her too. Once I finally spotted her, I couldn't believe it took me so long to see her in the first place. However, this is a closeup, taken from the side of the bush. But from my original angle she was behind a bush. She's a cat her favorite pastime is hiding!

The Myth

This is a very good video about the "myth of systemic racism". Is the problem really there like we are being led to believe? It will take up about 13 minutes of your time to watch but like I said it is a good video. There's so much for lack of a better word "noise" out there, many media outlets and celebrities keep throwing fuel on the fire, so to speak. But watching this video helped calm the "noise" for me. It's like every election year there's so much added drama our country is bombarded with. This year the extra "noise" seems to be at an all time high.

I hate the bandwagon jumping appeal to all this type of stuff. Has anyone else noticed that? It's like everyone has to make their voice heard on the matter. You have so many media outlets and celebs trying to keep or improve their fan base so they are sure to weigh in with their thoughts. Then you have other celebs that are trying to really use this issue to make a name for themselves. It's like a bandwagon type of thing. The longer it goes the more people jump on the bandwagon by giving the world their opinion.

Anyway...to the video...below is the link for anyone that wants to check it out:

Quick Snap Sunday

Just a girl and a tennis ball graciously given to her by her younger brother. I doubt she cares about the ball. But nonetheless he has three so he dropped one off to Piper and then went on his way. Does she look like she appreciates the gesture?

Ugh!

Thank you to the food makers of Landon's food. Honestly, they couldn't have had worse timing. Last night I noticed it was time to reorder Landon's food. When I found time to go online and order it I was dumbfounded to see almost everything in the entire brand was out. They had some large breed and giant breed versions but that was it. I then started looking elsewhere. Same issue existed, all stores I tried were out. I was then wondering what the heck was going on...are hoarders now hoarding Landon's food brand? Don't worry I didn't seriously consider that thought. Anyway I decided to go to the company web site where I learned they are changing their packaging. UUUUGGGGGHHHH!

I hate package changing. Wait, let me say it again...I hate package changing. I went thru this a few times with the pug's brand of food. I don't know why pet food companies do this but they do it like this...they stop shipping their food to stores for a few weeks in an effort to sell all the bags/cans with the old look. I get that they want to change everything over at the same time, they don't want old look bags of toy breed sitting next to new look bags of medium breed. But it's not exactly the best way to keep your customer base happy. I guess if I was a dog mom that fed whatever at any given time it wouldn't matter but I'm not that type of dog mom.

I was unsuccessful finding his food anywhere online last night. Plus it was too late in the evening to call around. This morning I spent way too much time calling around to find it. I even started calling vet clinics as I know it is stocked at some vet clinics. I did find it at one vet clinic but they wouldn't sell it to me because Landon is not one of their patients. That's when I stopped calling vet clinics. I ended up finding it at a family owned pet supply store about 7 miles from us. Huge sigh of relief! I think their little store is still trying to do whatever they can to stay in business during this tough economic time so they were offering free delivery with a minimum purchase. I purchased about $3 over the minimum purchase requirement and got the free delivery service. Landon's food has already arrived. The little dude will be able to eat this week. He wasn't completely out, but rather low. I order all pet stuff from Chewy usually. So I'm pretty aware I need to make the order about 6 days before he runs out. Before covid you didn't need to allow a good 6 days. You could get by with 4 days but not anymore. I'm hopeful they will be back in stock with the new look bags by the time he needs food again. Fingers-crossed!

Lantics

Landon + antics = Lantics...everyone remembers that right? Well this is what I have to deal with when trying to water the plants in our backyard. He is obsessed with water. He loves drinking from the faucet, the garden hose, or a sprinkler. He's a "on tap" kind of dude! Get it? My father-in-law will get it since he likes beer "on tap". Anyway, this little dude is filled with character. He cracks me up daily!

Reconsidered

I felt a little harsh firing my mom as my personal photographer this past Sunday. I have reconsidered and she has the rest of this week to improve her skills. What can I say? I'm a softy. I want mom to succeed too.

Let me know what you think...is this pic an improvement from the Sunday pic where I looked like nothing but a floating head sprouting a tail. Mercy me, I'm still surprised she took such a poorly angled pic of me. In this pic I look rather decent, I think. Got a couple feet showing and it appears that I most likely have a body too that dad is holding. Let's not judge the fact dad's head is not in the pic, he didn't want to be seen in the pic because he's not "camera-ready" right now. He still needs a haircut. I mean, let's be honest after this looooonnnnngggg quarantine and no haircut for him, he looks like he's auditioning for a rock band. Only a tiny exaggeration on my part. I must say though I'm jelly of dad's "guns". Maybe someday I'll finish growing up and have "guns" like him or at least "guns" like a bulldog. Guns like a bulldog on a havanese...that's possible right?

What Is Going On?

Reports of protesters being paid to "protest". Instagram and Facebook ads urging people to meet up to protest. Piles of bricks being delivered and left in random spots all over our city. Tell me something isn't going on behind the scenes? This is not about racial injustice. Racial injustice is just the cover. This is all a big conspiracy. If you need any added proof this isn't about racial injustice listen to all of what is being said by the news media, social media, big companies like Nike, and many celebrities... they start out about racial injustice but they end their messages talking about change in the White House. The real injustice....our mainstream media!!!! Trying to control us all like mindless robots!
