Magically Delicious

Bubsy: Where you at sissy?

Sissy: Probably in Texas but maybe about to be blown to Oklahoma. Can I catch a break with this wind? Can I catch a break at all?

Bubsy: Yeah, poor you. Sissy has been a little under the weather. Momma has been busy taking care of her since she got home from church.

Sissy: Whew! I’ve been seeing things I ate yesterday. 🫐 Not a good sight.

Bubsy: You are kind of a mess today. I mean that in only a nice way. 😉 Well with your annoyances with the wind and your sick tummy…things can only get better. That’s the good news for you.

Sissy: One can only hope things get better for me. After all, even mom’s week got better once Friday arrived. 😉

Bubsy: This week we suffered thru what was hopefully our last cold snap before springtime in Texas stays for a while. We’ve been bouncing between winter days and spring-like days, just like a ping pong match. 🏓

Sissy: I’m convinced Mother Nature is bipolar and needs her meds. She sure does send Texas a mixed bag of weather.

Bubsy: So it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day…our mom has been busy making Lucky Charms treats for her co-workers. Plus making St. Patty’s day themed sensory bottles and sensory bags for her little class. ☘️

Sissy: With all of her little projects lined up on the counter, our kitchen is looking magically delicious. 😋

Bubsy: Speaking of magical. The Grand Prix is in town. They literally built a track thru the streets around Cowboys and Rangers stadiums. Dad is glued to the TV watching all the Grand Prix races go down the roads in the Arlington area. I think he’s magically mesmerized by the track going thru the streets. 🏁🏎️

Sissy: Lets wrap this up, bro. I need extra rest after being sick.

Bubsy: You got it, sissy! Hope everyone has a great week! Remember to wear green on Tuesday. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ 🌈🍀

Bubsy’s Bad Week

Bubsy: Where you at sissy? Wake up…It’s blogging time on a lazy Sunday morning after time change! ⏰

Sissy: It’s bright and early and we’re still in our pjs…why not stay in my pjs when I’ve lost an hour of sleep? Anyway, I’m lucky to still be in Texas after all the high winds, lots of rain, and booming thunder we’ve experienced this week. Those winds threatened to blow me to Oklahoma. Mercy! Quite the week of weather!

Bubsy: It appears March came in like a lion! 🦁

Sissy: So far I’m not a fan of March. Let’s rewind time and go back to February. Our February this year wasn’t too bad.

Bubsy: Other than our crazy weather that seems to be addicted to keeping us on our toes….what’s going on around here?

Sissy: Well let’s see….we’ve had crazy weather. Mom had another super hard week. I have been a sassy brat according to mom…oh and you almost died twice. 😱

Bubsy: Yep, it’s true it was not a good week for me. My first close call was when I was standing in the kitchen minding my own business. And by minding my own business I mean overseeing what the humans were up to.

Sissy: Someone has to watch them at all times.

Bubsy: Apparently someone has to watch them so close to know when to react. Anyway, I’m standing there, then I heard dad let out a weird sound. I looked upward and quickly noticed an object flying at me…I backed up and right in front of me lands a knife. A big knife! Dad got wild with a knife, dropped it, and almost took me out. Mom exclaimed with total panic in her voice. Along with being none too happy with dad.

Sissy: This is precisely why I’m never seen in the kitchen when food is being prepared. 😉

Bubsy: True statement….sissy never hangs out in the kitchen. Anyway, skip ahead to Thursday night. Oh, Thursday! I thought it was over for me.

Sissy: I thought the same.

Bubsy: It was treat time for us. This was our nightly treat time which is given to us by our dad. He gave both of us mini dingo bones. Next thing I know, I am struggling big time. I couldn’t breathe. I started moaning and making weird noises. I was struggling so much I was desperate to make any kind of noise.

Sissy: And he was making so many alarming noises I stopped eating my treat to see what was going on with him.

Bubsy: Yep, poor sissy stopped eating while I was practically dying. Mom completely hit the panic button. Dad remained calm but wasn’t doing anything to help me necessarily. Then mom got it together and took charge. Arguing briefly with dad on how to help me. Once mom decided to take charge she grabbed me and got me in a position to get the bone stuck in my throat to come out. Such sweet relief and I could breathe again! Needless to say I was done eating for the night and all I wanted to do was go to bed.

Sissy: The worst part…other than him almost choking to death was that I lost my treat too. After his incident mom took my treat away. 😡

Bubsy: Mom may have overreacted but all mini dingo bones were tossed out on Thursday night. She’s not willing to take that chance ever again.

Sissy: But the minis are mine. Dad gave you the wrong kind and that’s why you choked. And boy was mom mad at dad for giving you the wrong treat.

Bubsy: Yep, mom even yelled at dad questioning how dare him ignore the note she has taped to the bag that says in BIG letters “for Sissy ONLY”.

Sissy: Oh geez, dad almost took you out twice this week…knife incident and choking incident. It’s clear to see I’m definitely dad’s favorite! 😉 Even though I had to deal with the rainy weather I still had a better week than you.

Bubsy: Yes, you had a better week than me. But I’m mom’s favorite! 😉 And on that sentiment we will wrap this up. I’m going to go rest up for what will hopefully be a better week for little me.

The Chase

Bubsy: Wowsers and bowzers it was a crazy week! This past week was unbelievably stressful for our momma. We saw her breakdown in tears every single day. 😞

Sissy: I thought momma was having a nervous breakdown. Mercy me!

Bubsy: I think momma needs a new job. If her current job has her this stressed she’s crying daily then just go get a different one. And stop worrying about us so much. We’ll figure out how to make it thru a transition from job to job.

Sissy: That’s right mom, if you have to throw in the towel and quit abruptly…we get it! We will figure out how to get thru it. We believe in your ability and drive to get a new job.

Bubsy: We believe in mom. She’ll get a new job if this one ends. However, I think she stays for two reasons, sissy. Those sweet kiddos in her class and their parents. And for no other reason than those.

Sissy: Yep, I agree. She’s certainly not staying for the interim staff that makes her feel stupid and unappreciated all the time.

Bubsy: Well this should be a very interesting and a very telling week for momma at her work, since the new director starts tomorrow.

Sissy: Alright, enough about our momma and her work problems. Let’s talk about other stuff.

Bubsy: Hmm, I guess I still want to talk about mom. But let’s talk about how mom can’t seem to learn she can’t outsmart me. 😉😆

Sissy: Mom does seem to be a slow learner. I pity her!

Bubsy: So here’s the story. Mom likes to hide a pair of socks deep in her shoes on Sunday mornings. Now how long is it going to be until she realizes I’m always going to check her shoes on Sunday mornings? Because at this point I’ve realized this practice of hers. Yep, there I was bright and early this morning running through the house with mom’s socks after stealing them out of her shoes. The chase was on. I zigged, I zagged and mom followed. It was a beautiful start to my Sunday. Nothing like the thrill of the chase.

Sissy: With all the zigging and zagging yours truly got up on the couch and stayed put. I never get involved in these chases.

Bubsy: Here’s the thing about sissy…she’s pretty mild mannered until about 7:30 at night. That’s when it’s like she gets water dumped on her and she turns into a gremlin. Scary, indeed! 😱

Sissy: That’s right folks when the evening arrives I have to lay down the law! People…the human kind and the kind with fur have been annoying me all day so when evening arrives…I’m down to my last nerve. 😠

Bubsy: Sissy, you generally wake up with only one nerve. By the time evening begins you are in the negatives…down about three nerves. 😬 And on that note, we shall wrap this up and get back to our afternoon. It’s almost Sunday matinee movie time with momma. 🎥 Hope you all have a great week! It’s Dr. Seuss week for our mom in her classroom. Hopefully that will provide mom with a little extra fun in her classroom. Friendly reminder…next Sunday is time change for us! ⏰ So don’t be surprised if we post a little later in the day than normal. 😉
