Two Anniversaries

Bubsy: It’s that day of the week again….Sunday! Welcome to our Sunday. Another frigid day here. Where you at, sissy?

Skylar: I’m once again probably in Texas freezing my everything off. Seriously, someone needs to have a stern talk with Mother Nature this is completely unacceptable.🥶

Bubsy: Enough about our weather. It is what it is. Anyway, let’s talk about mom and then talk about mom and dad.

Sissy: Why do we need to talk about mom twice? Mercy, we don’t need to make her feel too important or special. 🙄

Bubsy: Mom is celebrating two anniversaries First up on this past Friday was her anniversary of when she first started at the little school she works at…it’s been 2 whole years. Only mom, one other teacher, the office assistant and the chef are still there from the original crew hired when the school first opened. And then today mom and dad are celebrating their wedding anniversary. It’s technically tomorrow on Monday but they started the celebration a day early since mom has to work tomorrow. Less of a time constraint for them today.

Sissy: This is lucky number 13 for them. It’s gotta be more lucky than number 12 was for them…for all of us. 😞

Bubsy: You got that right. Please let this year be a better adventure than last year. We weren’t sure mom was going to make it to this anniversary. Mom was in and out of the hospital and had more doctor appointments than I can possibly count and then had to go thru surgery and a very long recovery. It was a lot! A lot of crazy uncertainty. Thankfully we have arrived at this anniversary and we get to celebrate with them. 🎉

Sissy: All this celebrating almost makes me forget how cold it is outside.

Bubsy: How sweet, sissy, I guess you can feel the warmth of love in the air. ❤️

Sissy: I said….almost….I’m still dreading having to walk later in this deep freeze. You know mom can never let us skip a walk.

Bubsy: Active snowstorms or lightning keeps us inside. So there you go sissy….pray for another snowstorm.❄️

Sissy: No thanks! I’m dealing with enough freezing and ice without actual snow complicating my world. 😏

Bubsy: So do you have your Christmas shopping done yet?

Sissy: I’m not buying anything for anyone. But I did overhear mom say your gifts have arrived but she was waiting on my gifts still. This seems fitting…stuff always happens for you quicker than for me. 🙄

Bubsy: What can I say…I’m the golden child! 😉 Apparently even the mail delivery people know that little fact. 😉

Sissy: All that matters is that I get gifts too.

Bubsy: I agree, sissy! You and our sister cat…all of us deserve gifts. 🎁

Sissy: Nah, I don’t care about the cat getting gifts. Just you and me. Because I can take stuff from you.😏

Bubsy: So sissy, let’s put a wrap on this and get to watching some football. Primetime Cowboys game tonight! Gotta win! Basically have to win out. Before we go…below is our pic with the roses dad gave to mom. Finally…he got her roses! Props to dad! He finally listened to mom’s hints. 🌹 Have a great week! Last full week before Christmas week begins! 🎄

Grinchy

Bubsy: Greetings, it’s been awhile. We skipped blogging last Sunday to make the most of mom’s last day off for the holiday break. We are glad to be back. Since we were last here on this blog a new month has arrived….December! Glad tidings month! Christmas season is well underway. How are you doing, my little sissy?

Sissy: It’s a Merry Grinchmas so far. A Grinchmas without my Grinch feet! 😮 Mom was loose with her scissors again and trimmed both of us. But I came out of that so called “trim” without my Grinchy feet. What in the world? I mean, um, hello mom! This is the best month for me to sport my Grinchy feet and she chops off my perfectly pointed extra hairy feet. 😏

Bubsy: Oh mercy, you best be not complaining about your extra hairy feet getting trimmed…again.

Sissy: Well if you aren’t going to let me complain about my hairy Grinch feet getting trimmed then I’ll complain about the weather. What is going on? It’s freezing AGAIN. I think Mother Nature lost her mind and accidentally sent weather meant for Green Bay to Texas. All I want for Christmas is an extra blanket. 🥶

Bubsy: I got a feeling you might get your wish! 😉 But at least we aren’t in Buffalo. It’s snowing at the Buffalo game which is currently on our TV.

Sissy: If it was snowing right now, I’d be booking a flight to Florida.

Bubsy: Beware of Florida…they have gators there.  Moving on, have you finished your Christmas wish list?

Sissy: I’m almost done. I’ll get it done and sent to Santa tomorrow.🎅 I have lots of wants.

Bubsy: Don’t ask for too much you might not even be on the Nice List.

Sissy: Oh I’m Nice List material for sure. 👍

Bubsy: I wouldn’t be soooo sure about that if I was you. 😆 You’re kind of a meanie.

Sissy: I’m only mean once or twice a day. I’m astonishingly good all the rest of the time so it balances out. I’m not worried. I’m sure I’m on the Nice List.

Bubsy: I hope for your sake you are correct about that. As for me….I’m a very good and loving boy. So I’m not worried either. Anyway, let’s wish everyone a fun Sunday and get back to our afternoon. Have a great week, everyone. Below is a few pics as mom got picture happy as she gets extra thrilled seeing us in our cozy sweatshirts.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽

Bubsy: Bring on the feast! Or for us it’s more like, bring on the intoxicating aromas of the feast. 🍗 🥔 🥧

Sissy: If only we could get more than a smell.

Bubsy: Don’t worry sissy, momma got us a special treat for this day.

Sissy: I doubt it will be that special.

Bubsy: Geez, sissy, you have a bit of a pessimistic attitude on this Thanksgiving day. Be thankful!

Sissy: Well I guess I am thankful that momma is home with us for a few days. How else would I have given her a run for her money early this morning. 😝

Bubsy: Mercy! It was not a pretty sight folks. That pic above was quite the ordeal. Sissy was being cantankerous. By the time the pic was taken all she was willing to do was that side-eye look she gives when she’s irritated. Which is a look I see quite frequently.

Sissy: There is a lesson to be learned here for mom. Don’t expect me to do a pic soooo early in the morning on a holiday. 😠

Bubsy: Message received, sissy! Well let’s wrap this up, especially since it’s a big time family day and long family focused weekend. Food, fun, and Cowboy’s football. They must win! 🏈 Wishing everyone out there a fantastic turkey day!

Sissy: Gobble-gobble!

Thankmas

Bubsy: Welcome to our Sunday. Welcome to Thanksgiving week! What are you thankful for, sissy?

Sissy: I’m not sure? 🤔

Bubsy: Say what?…you’re not sure? How can that be? I’m thankful for lots of things: mom, dad, the love in our house, food in my belly….I’m thankful for you too even though.you are quite mean at times. And I’m thankful and happy that I can look forward to grandma coming to town. One more lap to occupy. And two more hands to cuddle me. 🤗

Sissy: Oh geez. Well I’m not opposed to grandma coming but I don’t need her trying to hold me.

Bubsy: So since it’s turkey week. Mom has been planning out her desserts to make for Thursday. Her plan is to make one dessert per day leading up to Thursday.

Sissy: We shall see if this really happens. Mom’s work week will likely begin and she be focused on it until Wednesday and then be up all night baking 3 desserts for Thursday. 🥧 🍰

Bubsy: Sissy…the constant pessimist. I believe in mom’s plan. Moving on, let’s talk about how Thanksgiving is still approaching yet our house is decorated for Christmas.🎄😆

Sissy: I guess we can blame mom for that! She was the one that convinced dad.

Bubsy: He wasn’t too hard to convince. So it’s all Christmas inside our house with mom’s pumpkin from the pumpkin decorating contest still sitting on our hearth.😆🙈

Sissy: Our mom is crazy! Oh and don’t forget the pumpkin display at our front door is still outside but everything inside has been switched over to Christmas. Mom needs to stop decorating for Thanksgiving because last two years the Thanksgiving decorations are gone and swept off to the attic before turkey day arrives. 😐

Bubsy: Its that time…time for us to put a wrap on this post and get back to football…big game for the Cowboys today. Below is a Merry Thankmas pic! Mom’s pumpkin, Rudolph and Clarice in the background and us in turkey day attire. We are creating quite the scene! Oh and there’s a bonus pic of mom’s donut pumpkin wearing a Santa hat…how festival be. 😆 May your Thanksgiving be filled with food, fun, and good football!…

Sissy: Those are all the best “F” words! 😉 Have a happy turkey day! Gobble gobble til you wobble! 🍁🦃🥧

No Ducking Around

Bubsy: Welcome to our Sunday. How are you feeling, sissy?

Sissy: Whew…a little better. My system is almost back to normal. Almost!

Bubsy:  Sissy has been a little under the weather with stomach problems for the last few days.

Sissy: No ducking around for me. Duck is my enemy. Dad gave me some treats with a small amount of duck and it was duck, duck, avoid the goose for me. Mercy!

Bubsy: No, avoid the duck not the goose, sissy! 😆

Sissy: Whatever! I’m avoiding it all.

Bubsy: Enough about sissy’s issues. Let’s move onto how our week went. Hey sissy, I think Mother Nature heard your complaints and in the blink of an eye our weather has shifted back to warm. It’s been gorgeous fall weather last few days.

Sissy: It’s about time one of my many complaints gets thru to somebody. 😡

Bubsy: But seriously Mother Nature might be bipolar. Because such drastic changes in our weather is quite bizarre. But hey, that’s Texas for you. Like Grandpa says…”if you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change.

Sissy: Yeah, but at this point I’m confused about who or what is more confusing to me…the weather or our momma? Did you see momma the other day?

Bubsy: What do you mean? Of course I saw momma, I see momma everyday I’m glued to her. 😆

Sissy: Momma was dressed in her pajamas and a robe to go to work on Friday. Now that is taking casual Friday to the max. 😱

Bubsy: Oh sissy, it was PAJAMA DAY at her school. Everyone was in their pajamas.

Sissy: Whew! I thought she lost her mind and was in need of being admitted to a looney bin. My oh my! 😵‍💫

Bubsy: Here’s the funniest part about momma dressing in unique outfits for certain school days…dad’s response when she comes home. 🤣 He’s never awake when mom goes off to work so he has no idea when she’s going to walk thru the door dressed in her pajamas or dressed as a superhero or dressed as a tiger. Imagine his surprise at times! 😆

Sissy: I’m usually quite surprised too. Because I try to forget how weird she looks when she goes off to work on certain days. 😏 Well bro should we end this and get back to our Sunday afternoon. It’s almost lunchtime for us. 😋

Bubsy: Good idea, sissy! Let’s go beg mom for lunch. Below is our weekly pic. Have an amazing week. One more full week until turkey week arrives. 🦃

Ridiculously Cool

Bubsy: Well hello there! It’s Sunday! Where you at, sissy?

Sissy: I’m in Texas freezing my fur off and filling out a comment card for Mother Nature. I doubt she’s going to like reading my comments. She’s getting two thumbs down for this nonsense in early November. Did I mention it’s EARLY November. Mid-January and I wouldn’t be so caught off guard by winter temps, but it’s still autumn…people!❄️ I was nearly blown to Oklahoma by the cold blast of wind this morning.  🥶

Bubsy: Don’t worry sissy, this is going to be a brief winter storm. By Wednesday things will get back to fall-like temps.

Sissy: That’s what you told me last weekend and here I am freezing again.

Bubsy: Yeah, it’s definitely strange weather. But we’ll cuddle up with momma and roll thru these chilly days. In other news, tomorrow is fire truck day at mom’s school. 🔥

Sissy: Sounds like it will be a noisy day there. No thanks! 🙉

Bubsy: Noisy, but fun to see the fire truck.🚒 If only I was a Dalmatian I’d become a fire fighting pupper. 🐶 Mom was very excited earlier when she came home with a plush toy Marshall. Marshall from Paw Patrol for those that don’t know the characters.

Sissy: Mom is a little obsessed with Paw Patrol. She knows all the characters.

Bubsy: Well duh, momma works at a preschool…of course she’s well aware of the Paw Patrol characters.

Sissy: So no Cowboys game today. Therefore, momma decided to over do it…she’s wearing a Cardinals T-shirt with a Seahawks long sleeve pullover. She looks ridiculous.

Bubsy: Ridiculously cool! She’s a winner either way when that game is played today. Way to go mom…representing both teams.😉

Sissy: Thanks to momma wearing that Seahawks pullover I’m sporting a green bow in my hair in the pic below. Mom apparently thought it would be cool for us to match.

Bubsy: Well sissy, let’s wrap this up and go huddle up to watch some football in the snow. It’s not just our neck of the woods experiencing an early winter. Other parts of the country have snow.

Sissy: I already got my blanket on the couch ready. Have a good week everybody out there!

Bubsy: Below is our pic of the week….a still in our pj’s and trying to stay warm early this morning pic. 🐾 Enjoy your week!
