Whale-y Birthday 🐳

Bubsy: Greetings, on this last Sunday in July. Let the partying continue…

Sissy: Oh my, I might be all partied out.

Bubsy: I had a whale themed birthday party….one could say, it was a “whale-y” big day for us yesterday. 🐳

Sissy: Yep, and when I got sassy at one point daddy reminded me if it wasn’t for you having a bday I wouldn’t get a gift and treats too.

Bubsy: Wait a minute, you said you got “sassy at one point”….hmm, I beg to differ, you have yet to have only one point of sassiness during the course of any day. Seriously, people…she is the definition of SASSY! But anyway, I got new whale toys, a whale blanket, some new treats and a skateboard. Yes, you read that right…a skateboard. I guess dad has aspirations of me becoming a skater dude. πŸ˜†πŸ›Ή

Sissy: You need some tattoos and low shorts that barely stay on.

Bubsy: Trust me….any shorts would barely stay on me.

Sissy: The best part of your birthday was the ice cream sundae.

Bubsy: Oh yes, that was very tasty. We tried blueberries for the very first time. Since the theme was blue whale, mom garnished our ice cream sundaes with blueberries. 🫐 I ate the blueberries with my ice cream. Sissy took her blueberries out then went back and ate them at the end.

Sissy: I had to think about whether I wanted to eat them or not. πŸ€”

Bubsy: I also enjoyed a splash in my little pool. Sissy was present but stayed away from the water.

Sissy: I’m too precious for water. πŸ’¦

Bubsy: Well friends out there reading this…it’s time for us to bring this post to a close so I can get back to having a whale of a good time playing with my new whale toys. Have a great week! 🐳 Bonus pic below…

Happy Birthday Bubsy! πŸŽ‰

Bubsy: Happy birthday to yours truly. We will share another pic or two or three tomorrow. But for now, we’ll keep things brief as I must get back to my all day partying. πŸ˜‰πŸ₯³

Splash Day

Bubsy: Hear ye, hear ye…for it is us…welcome to our Sunday. Splish splash we weren’t taking a bath. Splash day for us…wait was it for us or just me? πŸ’¦

Sissy: It was just you because I am way too precious for the pool. My hair, my feet, my entire being is too precious for the “splash day” our silly parents invented. Silliest thing I’ve ever heard of.

Bubsy: Mom actually has splash day every Tuesday at her preschool during the summer. But I’m thinking she prefers splash day with us over splash day with all those preschoolers.

Sissy: That’s for certain. Splash days at a preschool is A LOT of work. Lots of running around to help tons of kids change into swimming suits then change out of their swimming suits and keeping track of everyone’s towel from home. Makes me feel half crazed just thinking about it.😡‍πŸ’«

Bubsy: Mom always describes splash day at her school as “all hands on deck” type of an event. And heaven forbid they have to deal with a slippery wet toddler running across the parking lot. Helping all teachers keep their kids contained is no easy task as we’ve been told. So without a doubt mom enjoys our splash days at home much more than splash days at school. πŸ˜‰

Sissy: So what else is going on in our world….oooh, something is coming.

Bubsy: Yep, it’s a big week, there’s “Christmas in July” which is on Friday plus all week long is shark week. 🦈

Sissy: Which means we’ll have to listen to our mom sing the Baby Shark theme song countless amount of times.🎢🦈…But you know, there’s something else that is coming up for you…πŸ₯³

Bubsy: You are right, sissy. Let the countdown begin. Mom has spent the weekend shopping and planning for my bday. Hmm, I wonder what the theme will be? The last few baseball party decorations were finally removed so I’m thinking I’m not having a baseball themed birthday party, like dad had.⚾️ πŸ˜‰

Sissy: I’m not concerned with the theme. I just know that when you have a bday I reap the benefits too. It’s a beautiful thing!

Bubsy: Oh sissy! Well after that lovely admission,  it’s time to wrap this up and get on with our Sunday funday. Hope everyone has a great week.πŸŽ‰  Below are pics that have a shark week theme to them and a short video of our splash day.

Christmas In July

Bubsy: Greetings to all, welcome to our Sunday. Mom and dad are busy watching the Wimbledon final.

Sissy: I’m not sure mom is actually watching…she’s likely playing on her phone and the tennis is background noise for her. πŸ˜‰

Bubsy: You might be right about that. She’s likely hunting recipes on her phone. Anyway, we may have had the craziest week of weather us young puppers have experienced to date.

Sissy: Our weather lately is bipolar and likely addicted to steroids. Has anyone ever drug tested Mother Nature?

Bubsy: Um, no…I seriously doubt Mother Nature has ever been drug tested.

Sissy: Well it’s so unpredictable lately and we’ve had sooo much rain that along about last Thursday I was searching thru the Bible trying to get the dimensions of Noah’s Ark just in case I needed to order the wood for us.

Bubsy: Sissy is about as dramatic as dad is about all this strange weather. Anyway, moving on… our dad was extra happy on Wednesday.

Sissy: He was like an 8 year old on Christmas morning…his BIG bday gift from mom arrived.

Bubsy: He was waiting and watching for the FedEx truck to deliver it all day on Wednesday.

Sissy: Yep, instead of waiting for Santa he was waiting for the FedEx truck.πŸŽ…

Bubsy: No need for us puppers to alert him when the truck pulled up. He was positioned near the front window all day waiting.πŸ˜†

Sissy: Yep, stealing my thunder. What am I good for if I can’t bark randomly and annoyingly to bother the humans when a delivery truck arrives at our house?

Bubsy: Lucky for mom and dad…it’s only one of us that barks annoyingly and randomly. Yours truly is not into such things.

Sissy: Cue my eye roll! πŸ™„

Bubsy: Our dad was so happy and excited about his gift that he had his new Xbox out of the box and set up before mom got home from work.

Sissy: Yep, Christmas in July moment for dad.

Bubsy:  Well we need to wrap this up because we need to get on with our afternoon. Wishing you all an easy-peasy lemon squeezy type of week.

Sissy: We did our best to look fresh in our lemon bandanas below.

Bubsy: And I did my best to make purple and yellow look “manly”. Thank goodness for my cool sunshades otherwise I wouldn’t have made this look cool.😎 πŸ˜‰

Let’s Party

Bubsy:  Well hello there, we didn’t plan on posting today but yet here we are. It’s a drizzly day as we celebrate our dog dad’s bday. πŸŽ‰Happy birthday, dad! 🎁 Mom hosted a very cool baseball party yesterday for him.⚾️

Sissy: Mom really went all out. Everything was baseball themed. The concession stand food, the games, and the prizes kept with the theme. Sadly though the concession stand mom created didn’t serve us puppers. At least we got to smell the beef brisket that was served.

Bubsy: To me the nachos looked the best. Oh my, if one were to put beef brisket on the nachos…man, you’d have a double hitter! πŸ˜†πŸ˜‰

Bubsy: So how did you like the party?

Sissy: First off there were too many people in our house. Secondly, I know nothing about baseball. However, I thought it was a fun party. I liked taking turns sitting at the table during the games. And people went home at a reasonable time. Big win for me! πŸ˜‰

Bubsy: Good thing they went home at a reasonable hour so we could rest up for today’s festivities. We hope everyone is enjoying a nice Independence Day weekend. May Monday approach at a snail’s pace. 🐌 Without further delay we shall sign off for the day so we can get to the partying with dad! Below are some pics from yesterday’s bday party. ⚾️ πŸ₯³

Happy Birthday America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Bubsy: We will keep this short and sweet. We have been a lot distracted today. It’s been a rollercoaster. We want to say Happy Birthday to America but we also want to say our thoughts and prayers are with the many Texans and rescue workers working around the clock to find all the missing. Texas will pull together and get thru this. Texas Strong!
