One more pic for today. This sissy of mine is perhaps slightly crazy. Actually that’s an understatement…she is crazy. The moment the photo shoot ended she did a little shake and a little swipe with her paw at her head and viola…this pic captured the real and true SISSY!
Bubsy: Welcome to our Easter post. It’s been a low key yet busy day here for us. The parents are now relaxing and watching March Madness. Mom has been enjoying a long weekend. It’s been nice having her at home more. So sissy, how has your Easter been?
Sissy: Well it’s at least not cold but it’s threatening rain so that doesn’t make me too thrilled. Mom made me get my “Grinch” feet trimmed before she would take our Easter pics. And that didn’t thrill me either. Plus mom wanted to do the photo shoot in the grass. Say what? THE GRASS!!!! She must have flipped her lid, I don’t do things in the grass. My feet are way too precious for the grassy lawn.
Bubsy: Due to sissy’s less than willing attitude at the photo shoot we actually had to have a second photo shoot which mom squeezed in between her and dad running from place to place today. Mom is a little under the weather, she has the “creeping crud”. So she’s spending the rest of today lying around. Which gives us time to do this post. 😉
Sissy: Or at least she’s hoping to be able to lie around as much as possible. Who knows if that will really happen.
Bubsy: We had an egg hunt earlier. I am quite the master at finding the eggs. However, I did get held back for a few minutes to allow sissy time to catch up and find some eggs. 😏
Sissy: I still have yet to figure out how to open the eggs on my own. But I’ve successfully trained momma to open the eggs for me.
Bubsy: Sissy is a low effort type of fur kid.
Sissy: Why put too much effort into things that I know mom can do for me. 😉
Bubsy: I suppose you have a good point. You are rather spoiled.
Sissy: I am not spoiled…I am well taken care of.
Bubsy: I can agree with that, sissy. 👍😊

Bubsy: Welcome to Sunday here on our blog. How are you doing, sissy? Wait, better question…how is your bracket looking?
Sissy: It busted! Thursday looked very good then Friday, my bracket seemed to go upside down. 🙃
Bubsy: Friday was not a great day in general. Not just as far as the basketball is concerned. Mom's school was short of teachers, they were breaking up classes. Then by lunchtime another teacher had to leave suddenly. Then while mom was on her break she got a call from our daddy that our grandpa was having some issues and grandma was taking him to the hospital.
Sissy: Yep, dad rushed out the door to go stay with great grandma while his parents went to the hospital.
Bubsy: Thankfully, our grandpa Vaughn is fine. In the last few weeks grandpa has been dealing with some eye issues. It’s apparently a nerve issue behind his eye and it’s firing off some stroke like symptoms. But he was able to be released after quite a few long hours of testing. So we are all happy and thankful he’s doing alright. But he’s going to have to get somewhat used to living with this nerve issue behind his eye.
Sissy: In other news, mom got out our Easter baskets today and our bunny ears. Or your bunny ears…I’m not wearing mine next weekend.
Bubsy: Does mom know you aren’t wearing your bunny ears next weekend?
Sissy: Nope, it will be a pleasant surprise for her.
Bubsy: Oh geez! Hey, guess what sissy. Mom has been printing pics of us and decorating her classroom with our pics. How cool is that?
Sissy: How dare mom not get my permission to decorate with my pic.
Bubsy: She’s our momma…I doubt she thinks she needs your permission. Let’s talk about the weather, they tested the tornado sirens the other day. I nearly lost my mind, because Mom was not home at the time. I was running around looking out the window for her.
Sissy: That is another thing people need to get my permission for…using those darn tornado sirens. I almost lose my head too when those things sound off. 🤯
Bubsy: It’s currently threatening rain and nastiness right now. We had to hurry up on our afternoon walk to get home before anything started up. Well it’s time to wrap this up, we are looking forward to Easter week, hope you all have a beautiful Holy Week. First pic below is me sniffing some flowers. Mom did a science experiment in her classroom and dyed the flowers blue and one red. There were other colors too but some flowers are still in her classroom at school. Also below are pics of our first Easter look of the week.
Bubsy: Last week was a slow yet fast moving week. Here we are already back at Sunday. So how was your week, sissy? By the way, your feet look good, appears you got a little haircut.
Sissy: Yep, I had to get my feet trimmed up. It was a good week for that since it’s rained buckets and even more buckets on us here.
Bubsy: It’s been so long since we’ve had sunshine I may have forgotten what it looks like.😉 What else is going on? It’s selection Sunday! Which means the March Madness starts this week. Which means mom and dad will be filling out a bracket and competing. 🏀
Sissy: Maybe the sports headlines will improve here this week with March Madness starting. The Mavs raised ticket prices and the Cowboys have made news for all the wrong reasons. So sports headlines here make you want to hide your head. 🙈
Bubsy: Sissy is not joking. It was an awful week last week listening to the news, especially the Dak news. Mercy me!
Sissy: What an ongoing mess it’s already become. The terms strip club and extortion violated my little ears all week long. 🙉
Bubsy: Let’s change gears, it’s St. Patrick’s day! Hope everyone is enjoying the luck of the Irish. Mom celebrated St. Patrick’s day in her classroom with a special rainbow and pot of gold art project on Friday but apparently the school is doing an all Green Day tomorrow too. As for us, we are dressed in green today.
Sissy: Bubsy was more tolerant than I and he posed for two different photo shoots in St Patty’s gear. I would never do that. 😉😆 Mom barely got me to pose the first time for the St. Patty’s day shoot. I was not about to do a second one. 👎
Bubsy: Lucky for mom, she can always count on me to do a bonus photo shoot. So without further delay, we hope you all have great luck all week long and below is pics to celebrate today.
Bubsy: We have arrived in this time dimension. Mom put us to bed early last night to help us and herself get adjusted to the new time quicker. Hopefully that works come Monday morning. 😉 So sissy, how are you doing since the time change?
Sissy: I’m glad it’s the last time we ever have to change time. Whew!
Bubsy: We don’t know that for sure yet. Only part of our state government has approved never turning the clock back in November. Staying on daylight savings time….forever. The other part of the government plus our governor still have to sign it into law.
Sissy: Oh geez, these two different parts of the state government plus the governor’s approval is almost too much for my tiny brain.🤯
Bubsy: Let’s talk about what else is going on, the cold weather returned. It was so beautiful, spring had appeared to take hold, then lo and behold….BAM….frigid temps hit us in the face along with lots of rain that was dumped on us.
Sissy: The good news is that the cold snap was brief and temps will improve as this new week progresses. Although there’s still more rain in the forecast. ☹️ Hope my Uber is in good working condition. 😉
Bubsy: So at mom’s school it was Dr. Seuss week last week. We of course had to get into the spirit and wore some Cat In The Hat gear too. Mom was quite decorated all week. 😆 Below is a pic of us wearing our cool cat hats and a bonus pic of our momma with sissy when she first tried the hat on sissy.🎩 Just a little proof, that sissy can be very sweet. 😉
Bubsy: It’s already Sunday night here. Feels like the weekend just started. We didn’t even get to see mom very much at all yesterday. And she’s been busy catching up on things today.
Sissy: The weekend flew by, bro. But at least we still have some time tonight to relax with mom.
Bubsy: Hey sissy, something disturbing happened today. Mom gathered together an obscene amount of socks then put them in her tote bag for work.
Sissy: I’m sure you were and still are horrified. Bubs is a sock thief. He loves to collect as many as he can.
Bubsy: It would’ve been a dream come true to be in the middle of the large pile of socks mom had out.
Sissy: Maybe for you. I’m all about curling up in mom’s dirty clothes, as opposed to stealing clean socks.
Bubsy: It’s Dr. Seuss week at mom’s school. So get used to seeing mom in head-boppers and silly socks this week. And she was putting so many socks in her tote bag earlier today, because tomorrow is Fox In Socks day. 🦊🧦
Sissy: I’m looking forward to Green Eggs And Ham day.
Bubsy: I’m not. My piggies are going to be abducted for a classroom project. 🙈
Sissy: Don’t worry…she’ll bring them back, after they’ve been violated by her tiny students. 😆
Bubsy: Yikes! 🙄🙈 Well let’s wrap this up and go enjoy our Sunday evening. Yesterday mom went to a church event and made a small bouquet, which is in today’s pic with us. By the way, I have no clue what sissy was looking at in the pic, she has the attention span of a fly.
Bubsy: Mercy me, we never got around to posting last Sunday. Mom hosted a bonus bday party last weekend so things were a little extra busy. Actually, two birthdays got celebrated during the third week of Feb. Sissy celebrated her bday too. Mom chose the theme…two groovy! So how was your two groovy bday, sissy?
Sissy: I think I’m still recovering from all the fun.🤩 It was great. We got a sweet treat to eat. A couple new toys. I got a sweater to match yours, plus we got harnesses. Those I’m not so sure about still.
Bubsy: I was a little iffy on those harnesses too. But after using them for a week I like mine.
Sissy: It’s the Velcro I’m not adjusting well to.
Bubsy: Surprisingly, dad was onboard with this new style of harness right away. Usually he critiques mom’s purchases for us. But the raincoats at the beginning of Fall and now these new harnesses have both passed dad’s approval.
Sissy: So that being said…if dad happened to not like these new harnesses and was more critical about mom buying us new harnesses would we still have to wear these ones?
Bubsy: Yes, we certainly would. Because mom is President and CEO of all things concerning us fur babies.😉🐶
