Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all! We are enjoying a quiet relaxing day. We opened our gifts late in the morning after enjoying our traditional Christmas morning breakfast.

As I type this we are watching football. We also watched The Grinch earlier too. It was a different version of The Grinch. Not sure what year it was made? But it was different and not a version either of us had ever seen. It was good, just different!

For dinner the plan is my "red and green" meal. Foods that are red and foods that are green. It's fun. It's been our tradition since we moved to this house. It will be a Christmas movie night for us. We plan on a double feature with a mini campout in the living room. Camping out by the Christmas tree...sounds fun right? Probably sounds dumb to most but we are dorks. LOL!

Hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful Christmas. Little more lowkey than in years past but it's okay! Make the most of it right? Enjoy the whole Christmas weekend! For your viewing pleasure...little Landon got boujee dressed up for Christmas! LOL! Oh my how I love this little boy!

Quick Snap Sunday

Lookie, lookie! How does it look? I designed it myself! It's my little dude on my new phone case. I got a clear phone case but dazzled up my own design of Landon to have it put on the phone case! Perhaps I should add an extra pic in the next day or two of what it looks like on my phone, so you can see the whole thing together. But trust me it looks good! Very happy with my design. Very happy with the overall case too! Love it!!!

Five Gone

Well it's Christmastime it's also Christmastime during a pandemic. Thanks to this pandemic there's lots of extra activity as far as delivery people. There's more and more stores offering delivery services than ever before. But not all those delivery drivers are honest and good upstanding citizens. To become a delivery driver for Uber Eats, Shipt, Doordash or Postmates there's little to no requirements. Just about any Tom, Dick or Harry can be arriving at your door.

Where am I going with this? The other day we received a delivery. It was a delivery that was not even ours. The guy delivered it to the wrong house. But while he was dropping off this delivery he decided to swipe 5 USPS packages that were at our doorstep. I did hear the delivery guy knock at the door but I chose not to answer because it's just too scary. I did look out the window but by the time I did he was at his car and was quickly putting my packages in his backseat. I couldn't catch the guy. And once he had them in his hands what was I going to do about it? There was really nothing I could have done.

In a way I wish I had opened the door when the guy first knocked to leave the delivery but then again it's just not wise to ever open the door unless you are indeed expecting someone or something to arrive...which I was not. So lesson learned! Watch our packages much more carefully!

Delivery services are now thriving thanks to covid. However, packages that are already at someone's doorstep getting swiped by a delivery driver is going to be a new issue for these delivery service companies. I guarantee we are not the only people to have packages swiped by a delivery driver during this holiday season. But here is something that needs to be added...markers on their cars! Something similar to a pizza delivery driver. However, maybe something more like a large magnetic sign that can be put on their car door while they make their deliveries that clearly reads: "Doordash" or "Shipt" or "Postmates" or "Instacart". In that instance I could have seen it was a delivery driver for Postmates and I could have called Postmates to tell them their delivery driver just swiped my packages. I spent a few hours on the phone yesterday trying to track down which delivery service was in our area at that specific time. Such a pain!!

Catching Up With Me...Landon

I went to two parties this weekend. Three of my furiends had birthdays. I could only make it to two of the parties. My social calendar is packed these days. My poor mom has a lot to keep track of. LOL! She has to make notes just to keep up with my challenges and special events. One of the party's was a "pretty in pink" party. Notice my cool pink shades in the first pic! Real men wear pink shades. Mom wanted me to participate but wanted me to still look boyish. I think I managed to do that! But does it strike anyone as odd to have a pretty in pink party in December? Anything goes these days! Am I right?

In other news, as mom and I type this my dad is rooting for the Giants. Yes, the Giants. I thought as a Cowboys fan he was obligated to always boo the Giants, Eagles, and Washington Football team(that's too long, get a dang name people)? So I'm confused! Apparently the Giants have a backup quarterback in named Colt McCoy who apparently went to Texas, he was a longhorn. So dad has to root for him! Did anyone stay up to watch that Sun Devil game last night. It was a very loud household of mine last night. Mom and dad were mad at the refs. Mercy! I did my best to try to keep the parents cool but it wasn't easy. Lastly, if you are a broncos fan you might want to get a pair of shades before tonight's game comes on. Seriously, use something to dim your eyesight on the game. Just a helpful Landon tip! Now scroll down to my hashtags...

Landon Got Mail

Here's one of his packages that arrived today. Look how cute the tag is on the package! Adorbs!
He got some pins. I'll pin them to his tote bag. A bowtie and some treats and obviously I have yet to open the items on the left. He is very curious about the items he got. I made the mistake of telling him he got mail today and he's been going bonkers trying to figure out how to check out his goods. LOL!

Back to the Grind

There I was in bed on Sunday night when I yelled to my husband that it was lights out for me. I was rather surprised that he was not making any effort to get ready to come to bed. I mean, it's Sunday night...Monday morning is tomorrow, back to the grind. Thanksgiving weekend is done. Put a fork in it type of done. A few minutes later he arrives in our bedroom to kiss me goodnight and tuck me in. Don't judge!...yes, I need to be tucked into bed at night. So while he was in the bedroom I asked him when he was planning on coming to bed, after all he has to work tomorrow. He says, "no, I don't". But honey, "tomorrow is Monday, back to work." He replies, "nope, I took one extra day!" And as quickly as a dog jumps up when it hears the word "treat" I sprang up out of bed and said "well then lets go watch a late night movie. Pop the popcorn!" LOL!

Skip ahead to Tuesday and it is indeed back to the grind! It was a bitter cold morning this morning. The first morning of the season I have delayed our walk until 11 AM. Call me a wimp if you want...but I do not walk Landon when it's 21 degrees out. No thanks I'll wait. It was 42 degrees at 11:00 so that's when we walked. Afterwards I decorated for Christmas some. We'll finish up later when Brad gets home. I decorate everything but the tree on my own. We always do the tree together. I love getting a new ornament each year. Just a random ornament, no more collecting Hallmark ones for me. Obviously the most popular ornament to commemorate this year is a toilet paper roll ornament or hand sanitizer ornament. They have both I have already looked. But then I'm like...um, do I really want to see a roll of toilet paper ornament hanging on our tree in years to come. It's kind of funny this year...but might be kind of tacky for years to come? I'll let you know what I decide.

In other news, Landon is on a win streak. I entered him in two contests last week and he won both! He was also invited to be part of a special Havanese event on instagram. It's a Season's Greetings card that is being made. He will be one of the hava's featured. I felt so honored they asked and invited him to be a part of the project. I have yet to decide how to dress him for the special feature. Also what does it say about us when our dog gets more mail than us? Yep, all his winnings and all his friends on instagram means things keep arriving for him. I just laughed out loud earlier when three packages arrived and they were all for Landon from other people! LOL! Seriously, my dog is cooler and more popular than I have ever been and will ever be. But I'm okay with it! I'm very happy being is momager (mom plus manager).  Reminds me of that song..."you got designer shades just to hide your face, you wear them around cuz you think you're cooler than me. You never say hey or remember my name, probably because you think you're cooler than me." Haha! Kind of a funny song! Landon does have designer shades, but he does still remember my name...it's "mommy" to him! LOL! Have a good week people out there!
