The Silliness That Is Cody-Man!

It's no secret the boys crack me up! I had this idea to run through some of the silliest antics Cody does on an almost daily basis. So here it goes!

1) When he's doing his best to get that darn itch behind his ear or behind his shoulder blade, his tongue goes in and out. Just some weird involuntary movement that his ridiculously long tongue does while he's scratching.

2) When he gets up in the morning he must rough up his blanket. It's a must! After the blanket gets roughed up he moves on to the nearest toy. He can be so vicious with his toys yet he's not destructive! I love when he loses grip and the toy goes flying!

3) The "look at me dance"! Oh his "look at me dance" is a classic!!!!!! I need to get video of it someday! When Cody meets someone new or is greeting someone he knows he has a little dance he does. He spins around with the most excited expression he could have on his face. He's moving so fast it's hard for someone to actually pet him. He moves to the right then back to the left and all while moving his head about. He makes noise to go along with his dance too.

4) The way he walks. He's got quite the bounce to his step. He's got swagger! Oh and if he realizes people are watching him that swagger is turned up a few notches!

5) His expressions! He has some expressions that make me laugh out loud often. The one where he looks at me as if to question whether or not I'm trying to poison him with whatever food I'm suddenly offering him. He also has an expression that questions what Simon is doing. Sometimes I don't need to actually see Simon to know he's up to no good I just have to read Cody's face! I think Cody is the only dog I've ever known that can give so many expressions. There was one time Simon wanted to get to something and he wanted it fast! The shortest distance for Simon to get to that particular item was to go under Cody. Yes, I said "under" Cody. The look on Cody's face was priceless as Simon scurried under him and Cody somehow found himself on Simon's back for a brief second. Hilarious!!!!!!

6) He talks! Well I can't understand him but he certainly talks. Many mornings as I'm putting my shoes on to get ready to take him and Simon for a walk he is still waking up some. He yawns then makes a few squeaky noises as if he's telling me "Geez, it's early!". Or something like that!

7) His disgruntled moments! This likely shouldn't be funny and he probably wouldn't agree that it's funny but my boyfriend and I thinks it's kind of funny when Cody gets disgruntled. Cody lets you know when he isn't happy. He doesn't believe in hiding it!!!! He groans. Sometimes it's a low groan that increases as time passes by. Sometimes it's a groan that's direct at his brother sometimes it's directed at a pesky rawhide that he can't seem to take down. He's funny to listen too!

8) The heel dig! Cody has his moments on his walks where he refuses to be rushed. Or refuses to walk through water. He simply puts on the brakes and digs his little heels in. There's no budging a pug that is completely set on not being budged. This happened just yesterday! I was ready to move the boys on through the grassy area. But Cody wasn't ready to move. So he put his brakes on to stand his ground and let me know he will move when he's ready to move. When I looked back at him and asked what was up with him he then decided to move slightly to the left then proceed. It used to be very annoying to me but now it's kind of cute! It's his way of telling me not to rush him! What can I say that's just Cody...cautious and slow to move!

9) Well there's the "look at me" dance and the "hey, didn't you see me" whine. Going right along with the vocals of Cody he gives off a short whine when people pass by him that he believes should have been eager to pet him. How dare they!

10) Cody to the max! When I get ready to take the boys to my boyfriend's house he goes nuts. I mean nuts. He's jumping on things! He's running around like he's lost his head and can't find it. His excitement can not be contained. As I just stated Cody is normally rather cautious he doesn't do daring things like his brother but when he's excited to go somewhere he jumps up on the chair and climbs to the back balancing on the small frame of the top of the chair. He's of course not supposed to be on furniture so he's promptly told to get down. He literally goes crazy with excitement. It's as if he just drank a Red Bull! Maximum Cody-man!

And sometime soon I will do this same thing for all the silliness that is my Sime!!!
