It's Friday!

It's been a busy week! Glad it's Friday! I'm ready to relax for the weekend. I really hope to get some extra ZZZ's in this weekend! We've had our fair share of rain lately. It's currently sunny and beautiful but earlier in the week it was rainy.

On Wednesday morning it had just finished raining when I took the boys for their morning walk. As we were walking down our usual pathway there were cars going by. Some were zipping by faster than others. Well a nincompoop was barrelling down the road in the right lane he or she hit a puddle at a speed that was too fast on our somewhat residential road and guess what happened as a result...myself, Cody, and Simon got splashed big time. I think Simon escaped serious splashing since he walks so far ahead. He got wet but not drenched. I was irritated at first and then started laughing, not much more I could do than laugh. Those that personally know Cody...take a minute and imagine the look on his face when this happened! Lol! I would like to say it is beyond me to understand why people lack the presence of mind to avoid the far right lane when it is raining or has just rained. I learned of the importance of avoiding right lanes when I lived in Seattle. There's way too much water that collects on the right side. I've even had scary situations occur where I've hit a dip in the road and way more water than my windshield wipers could handle has come flying at me blocking my vision for a few seconds. So I avoid right lanes in bad weather until I truly need to be there to turn.

Cody seems to be doing much better. However, I continue to give him pepto with each meal. Over the weekend I'll begin weening him off the pepto. It's good to see him arriving in the kitchen anxious to eat versus turning down meal after meal. There was one time this week I tried crushing up the pepto and sprinkling it over the food. That wasn't a good idea in Cody's opinion! He avoided eating a few kernels of food that were super coated in the pepto sprinkles.
