I haven't been feeling that great this week. I spent Tuesday relaxing as much as I could to try to feel better. But apparently dealing with sickness wasn't enough for me, I wanted to heal from something else too.
Despite years of practice on Tuesday night it was as if I had just begun to walk. I was at the top of the stairs, with no lights on. I was walking down the stairs with both boys in front of me. They made it to the bottom. As they set their feet firmly on the ground they looked up at me to see me flying at them full force. Every man for himself kids....get out of the way! I think I fell with about 4 maybe 5 steps to go before reaching the bottom. I fell on my left side. I fell so hard I had no breath in my lungs at first. Never had that type of feeling after a fall before. After getting up I instantly realized my back was strained on the left side.
For the last 2 days I have had to limit my activities drastically. Even bending down to put leashes on the boys is a chore. Not to mention walking them! Driving hurts too, well driving isn't too bad it's getting up into my SUV that's the biggest problem. It feels a little better today than yesterday and I can only hope that it gets better fast. I'm not used to being so darn stationary. I feel like a 78 year old woman with a significant hitch in my giddy-up. Geez!
Tuesday night was interesting for us here. I had taken my tumble around 6 in the evening and a few hours later my boyfriend got a little too into his Kinect game. He was playing tennis a sport he loves. He of course wanted his experience on the video game to be as life-like as possible so he got all ready to serve similar to how he would serve on a real tennis court. He ended up extending his arm a little too much and hit one of the lightbulbs on the ceiling fan. Exploding light bulb pieces went all over. He was left with a cut on his hand. I tell you...we were quite the pair this past Tuesday night.
