There might not be very few that agree with me or sympathize with me on what I'm about to say. But I definitely know of one person that would agree and sympathize with me...that person is my cousin Jeff back in AZ. He will get this!
So there we are in the drive-thru of one of Brad's fave sandwich places, the sandwich place shall remain nameless for the purpose of this post. We've been to this sandwich place many times, at this particular location we were at I have experienced some issues. Some peppery issues! Therefore, while ordering Brad politely asks for them to leave the pepper off of his wife's sandwich, which is coarse ground pepper. The person taking our order then argues with him, saying they never use pepper. It becomes a small back and forth issue. Whatever! We get our order and head home. Sure enough my sandwich has once again been littered with coarse ground pepper. It might sound like it would be an easy fix to scrape off. And believe me I'm smart enough to think of that. But the type of bread seems to make it difficult as the pepper gets down into the nooks and crannies of the bread. Grr!
I will add this seems to be an issue with the location and type of sandwich I order. I've had the same type of sandwich many times before at other locations and not experienced the peppery issue. And the type of sandwich Brad orders never gets peppered.
Anyway, I really do not like pepper on my turkey sandwiches. Is that really a thing to put pepper on sandwiches? Am I and my cousin Jeff the only ones appalled at pepper on sandwiches? Perhaps! It just doesn't taste good to me plus it gets to the point where all I can taste is pepper instead of the actual sandwich. I guess that's why I prefer sandwich places where I can choose what goes on my sandwich.
