Blustery Autumn Continues

Oops, guess I was a little absent from the blog this week. Well let's catch up. Brad is still in bed, and it's past noon o'clock here. Anyone else like saying "noon o'clock"? I use it frequently although I know it's not "proper".

It's been a nasty weather week for us. Monday was good, then it was downhill from there. Blustery Autumn days with rain is what our weather has featured for a few days. Big bonus of it, the leaves on the trees are beautiful. It's reached the point in the season where the morning walk doesn't have to be first thing when I get up. Now it's all about letting the sun come out to warm things up some before we go out. I must admit it's more about what I can handle with any chilliness. Landon is a mystery to me still on how cold is too cold for him? I knew when we got him, he'd be fine with summer days since Havanese ancestry is from Havana, Cuba. But I must say I'm still a little surprised he handles cold weather so well. However his hair is thick, even when kept short, it's still thick and cozy. So far he's the most adaptable dog I've had. He has not experienced snow yet. We'll see how he likes that when/if it happens this winter.

Who has their Christmas tree up? We are putting ours up this weekend. I generally prefer waiting until after Thanksgiving but "turkey day" is kinda late this year. The Christmas season will be condensed. Earlier this week when we were discussing if we wanted to put the tree up a little early. Brad asked me if I thought Landon would be a problem and mess with the decorations? I laughed a little. I seriously doubt Landon will be a problem. He wasn't a problem last year, and he was in full puppy mode. He's still kind of a puppy, he's a pre-teen, I guess. I still would bet he's not the one we have to worry about with the Christmas tree and decorations.

Speaking very frank, our "problem child" is not Landon. Piper's not a big time problem child but she tests the boundaries more than he would ever think too. Landon detests getting in trouble. Like real trouble. He does silly little antics but nothing that requires much discipline. Piper on the other hand, has extremely frustrating downright maddening habits that nearly send her mommy over the edge. Overall she's pretty good for a cat. She has plenty of good qualities, but definitely more of a "problem child" than her little brother.

So part of the plan of the day is to put the tree up and another big part of my plan is to watch the ASU game. I was texting with my mom last night about the ASU game. It's homecoming for ASU, why on earth did they schedule Oregon for homecoming? ASU is not at the same caliber as Oregon. I fear what my little eyes will have to see today...a massacre! Yikes! I may need consoling later on this evening. Brad may need consoling after the Cowboys game on Sunday. I'm being a realist...I'm not so sure the Cowboys have what it takes to take down the defending champs in Foxboro. I say yikes, to that game too!
