Yesterday was Brad's birthday. For obvious reasons it was a rather lowkey celebration. We had a party on Sunday. I'm not sure a party of 4 is exactly a "party" but like I said, everything has been toned down and lowkey for awhile now. I think the rest of 2020 will be toned down and lowkey. However, I'm super curious how things will be when Fall comes around. When summer ends, kids need to get back to school, and America's most watched sport of FOOTBALL wants to begin again. How will things be then?
Anyway, I did the best I could to give Brad a good birthday. Like I said on Sunday evening, we had a small party of 4 people, well 4 humans and 2 furries. Ate some simple food and red velvet cupcakes for dessert. We mostly spent the evening playing games. Games the birthday boy chose. As for yesterday, Brad's parents dropped by ever so briefly to see Brad and give him a gift. We watched a movie last night for entertainment. All in all I think Brad had a decent birthday!
Brad's off this week, we are enjoying a "staycation". Once again, for obvious reasons we aren't going anywhere. I'm sorry but I wouldn't trust staying in a hotel right now. Besides what's open to go do? Not much! I've heard lots of people are doing beach, mountain, and lake trips. I'm thinking the most likely "vacations" this year are renting a beach house, cabin in the woods, or cabin by a lake. But I'm sure the prices for those are sky high. No thanks, we'll stay home and be just as happy. I think overall I prefer a staycation any day over a vacation somewhere. It's always fun to go places, don't get me wrong but it's a hassle too. Staycations are so much easier. The worst part in my opinion traveling anywhere for vacation is after you get home you feel like you need a few days to relax and enjoy being at home.
