So 2 days until my mom hits town. I'll admit I normally feel more stress when mom comes to town. I'm pretty relaxed so far. I still have some things I want to get done before she lands. I'll get everything done though. One thing that needs to be done is the boys need to go to the groomers. It's a must for them to look good for grammie!
I went out today to get a few items for her bday cake. I know what kind of cake I'm making but I'm not sure when I'm going to find the time to bake the cake. I don't want to bake it too early I want it to be as fresh as possible so I'm just going to have to find the time Friday night or Saturday morning. I have a picture in my head as to how I want to decorate the cake...fingers crossed the picture in my head can come to life when it's time to decorate! I get very excited to bake cakes! With each cake I bake I challenge myself with the decorating part. That's my favorite! I love to make the frosting and decorate! I believe at this point I'm confident enough making my own frosting that when I'm buying my cake ingredients tomorrow I will be able to skip right over buying some store frosting(which I've been doing as back-up just in case I mess up the frosting I'm making).
