August here in Texas has begun with it's usual steamy hotness! I'm not fond of the month of August. I'm usually anxious for it to go by so we can get into September. I always look forward to September!
However, the best part of August means football season is on the horizon. Tonight the Cowboys kick-off the pre-season against the Dolphins in the Hall of Fame game. Yes, we'll be watching! My husband's already got his Cowboys shirt on! Oh and so do I!
I told Brad the other day the Cowboys are predicted by numerous experts to be GOOD this season. Play-off spot good! He's skeptical! Hopeful, yet skeptical! He's been quite disappointed in the last few seasons so he needs to see it before he's ready to believe in the hype! As for my Cardinals, well....I've got my fingers crossed! I start every season off being hopeful! They have some new pieces to the puzzle. It'll be interesting to see how Palmer will do. His career hasn't been going well since leaving Cincinnati but maybe a fresh start will do him some good. I know my team has been struggling since Warner left, therefore, I'll consider it a step in the right direction if they can at least make a slight push for the play-offs. More wins then losses...please!
