Got Sand?

Bubsy: Fancy meeting you here, sissy. We’re finally back to our blog after taking a little extended holiday break. And just like that, it’s a new year. Hello 2025! How are things with you, sissy….thawed out yet?

Sissy: Things are improving, not sure I’ve completely thawed out.

Bubsy: Boy oh boy, we have been thru it this past week. We had quite the snowstorm. It fell hard and fast. They brought 400,000 tons of sand in to our area to sand the roads. The city was completely shut down for a few days. Things were starting to get back to normal yesterday.

Sissy: It was soooo bizarre. It was brutally cold for a few days then white stuff started falling from the sky and it didn’t stop for quite awhile. I was not pleased. I had no clue where the ground was or where anything was.

Bubsy: And after the Dallas Mavs played their game on Thursday night with no audience because the city was snowed in, the Cotton Bowl barely escaped being canceled. But never fear football went on. Sadly, the Longhorns will not move on though.☹️

Sissy: Mom’s car looks like a major mess. She needs a car wash. 💦

Bubsy: It’s from all those tons of sand they had to dump on the roads. I have a sneaky suspicion, that was not our only snowstorm this season. I think another one will come along.

Sissy: Bite your tongue. I don’t need to deal with anymore snow or ice. It was not fun. I required being carried everywhere because my feet are WAY TOO PRECIOUS for snow. ❄️

Bubsy: Well sissy, let’s wrap this up and go get some zzzz’s before the evening football game.

Sissy: Good idea…especially since I’m trying to avoid watching the Eagles right now. Here’s to the Eagles….😝

Bubsy: Pardon her, she’s a typical Dallas, Texas girl….gotta hate on the Eagles. Below is our pic as we tried to hide from winter under our hoods. 😉 We also included a few pics mom took at the store today when she ventured out to look for groceries. People stormed the stores when the snowstorm was arriving and since the snow storm ended no deliveries have been able to get into our area. As a result there’s lots of empty store shelves.

Sissy: Good thing mom keeps our food stocked up. I can’t deal with the bad weather and an empty tummy. I’d lose my mind. 😵‍💫

Bubsy: Sissy, you did lose your mind dealing with this snowstorm. But don’t worry, I’ll help you look for it.😉 Anyway, as I said before….time to wrap this up….have a great week everyone. Stay warm! 🥶
