Let It Snow ❄️

Bubsy: It was Friday afternoon when mom arrived home and bounced thru the door and immediately said these words…”I’m home now….let it snow!”❄️ It was a treacherous drive home for her and she was the last car police allowed on the big bridge before they closed it. Skip ahead to today…did it snow sissy?

Sissy: Oh it snowed! It started snowing late Friday night and it snowed most of yesterday thru to the wee hours of this morning. So far the snow is sticking around because it’s currently ZERO degrees. I desperately need a plane ticket out of here. 🥶

Bubsy: Not going to happen…the airports are closed.

Sissy: Oh that’s peachy…I’m forced to suffer thru this. 😠

Bubsy: Don’t worry it will be fun. We’ll have a day to snuggle on the couch and watch movies plus football. This is the fun part of snow days. All the craziness has calmed because the snow is keeping people inside now. But back on Thursday and Friday the craziness was turned up high. Winter storms seem to cause chaos even before the snow starts to fall.

Sissy: He’s not overstating things…it has been chaotic and CRAZY!

Bubsy: Preparing for a winter storm seems to throw the humans into a tizzy. The grocery stores get overrun because people are hoarding everything they can think of to hoard. Every parking lot of a grocery store, a Walmart, a Target and any home improvement store looks like it’s the day before Thanksgiving. Packed! Completely packed!

Sissy: Thankfully our mom orders curbside groceries and she put her order in extra early to assure she was going to get her produce.

Bubsy: And get this…the state of Texas ran out of beef! So many people were buying it up just in case, that as of last Thursday the whole state was out of beef.

Sissy: Gives new meaning to the phrase…where’s the beef? 🥩

Bubsy: Mercy! It’ll take at least a month to build up the beef supplies. But the bigger issue is keeping the Texas power grid from freezing. So far we have some outages but the power grid is holding steady. And in other news, we are currently waiting to see if things can improve fast enough for schools to open on Monday or will schools be closed and mom will be home? We shall see. In the meantime we’ll spend some quality time watching movies with mom and football later. Who you got in the games today, sissy?

Sissy: I gotta go with our mom’s preference…she still has a team in the race to the Super Bowl…so I’m on the “dark side”!

Bubsy: I’m with ya…this is one time I have to join you on the dark side! I feel like you are naturally a dark side inhabitant. 😉

Sissy: Perhaps that’s me! 😉 I’m nice when I want to be but I visit the dark side a lot.

Bubsy: You certainly do. Anyway, let’s move onto our Sunday afternoon and go curl up with momma. Everyone stay safe out there. Stay warm and let’s all hope the power grid holds up and doesn’t cause any more dangerous power outages. Below is our frigid pic of the week. ❄️
