No Shadow

Bubsy: What a week we have had. Are we Texas strong or what? We survived what has been termed as “snowmageddon”.❄️ And we are still surviving the brutal chill.

Sissy: Yep, Armageddon in snow form hit us hard.❄️ I was not a happy camper. However, much to everyone’s surprise I liked walking on the snow more than the grass underneath it. 😮 Who would’ve thought?

Bubsy: It was very shocking. Sissy, had her usual issues with the weather but didn’t mind the snow once it stopped snowing…that is! She wasn’t into the actively falling snow or anything else we got. And let me say, we endured it all…freezing rain, sleet, snow…oh my!  We all rolled the sidewalks in and stayed home. The city was shutdown for about 5 days.

Sissy: We even endured mom staying home for 3 whole days. Some schools reopened on Thursday but most were out until Friday.

Bubsy: Our momma had two terrifying commutes to work during her two day work week thanks to the snow and ice combo on Thursday morning. And then on Friday morning a train very much complicated her drive which ended up taking her 45 minutes when she normally has a commute of 7 minutes.

Sissy: She went on a wild ride thanks to that train blocking the world. She compared it to some book called Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.

Bubsy: So moving on, what else is going on in our world? Oh hey, it’s February! Which means lots of things. There’s lots of bdays to celebrate in our family during this month. The Stockyards are open here in Fort Worth. But bigger things are on the horizon too like the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics in Milan, then after all those things comes Valentine’s Day. Pass me some candy! 😉 This is going to be one exciting month, sissy!

Sissy: I’m actually gearing up for the Puppy Bowl and the week long events at the Westminster Dog Show. Can someone dethrone the pug that won last year?

Bubsy: Like maybe a Havanese? Not that we dislike pugs….we are a pug loving household too.  But you know, we’re biased towards our own breed. 😉

Sissy: I like your thinking, bro!

Bubsy: That’s right we’ll cheer on any and all Havanese. Woof, woof! 🐾

Sissy: Let’s put a wrap on this and go snuggle. See if my static cling can get any worse after some snuggle time. 😆

Bubsy: Lol! Good for you sissy, embracing your static cling. Here’s the thing about us Havis in this winter mix of weather…our hair is filled with static. Sissy has long hair so she has really been dealing with it.

Sissy: Mom has been following me around with dryer sheets. And when that doesn’t help she turns to a spray bottle. Which I’m not fond of at all. 😠 Being in below 10 degrees weather causes chaos with my hair follicles. But overall, messy hair, I don’t care!

Bubsy: Real quickly before we go…tomorrow is Groundhog Day…Will Phil see his shadow, sissy?

Sissy: He better not!  Because I can’t take 6 more weeks of mom following me around with dryer sheets. 😏

Bubsy: Well let’s wrap this up. Hope everyone has an amazing first week of February and let’s all cross our paws that Phil doesn’t see his shadow tomorrow. Hopefully Phil gets the memo to NOT see his shadow…no shadow! Below is our weekly pic…as you can see we are already getting in the spirit of this lovey dovey month. I must say…I look rather manly rockin’ the pink bow tie and shades. No shame in my game! 😉😎
