What you see above is Cody's light little paw print. Wish it was a little more deeply grooved but it's still going to be a treasured memento for me. The clay is still drying so it might become darker as it dries. Anyway, we decided to have Cody cremated, the paw print nameplate was a complimentary service offered.
There were a few reasons why we chose to have him cremated. Yes, it was a bit of a pricey option but oh well! It just seemed like the easiest and best option especially considering the rather hot/humid summer we are having. Once we get Cody's urn his ashes will be buried next to Simon. It's been tough the last 36 hours, but I keep reminding myself, he is happy-go-lucky again and super pleased to be back with his little brother.
