Quick Get-Away

We just completed a quick get-away to Oklahoma. We arrived home earlier this afternoon. What's in Oklahoma, you ask? Casino resorts! Absolutely no gambling of any kind is permitted in Texas so all Texans wanting to enjoy a quick casino get-away must head north to Oklahoma! Well neither of us are gamblers but there were plenty of other amenities to entertain us if we didn't want to gamble too much. When it comes to gambling of any kind we are both rookies!

However we did find a few games to busy ourselves with. Slot machines were not for us, we got bored super fast with those. Sitting at a table to play poker or blackjack wasn't for us either. However, it wasn't too long before we zeroed in on a couple of games we liked and understood. I fell for roulette and Brad fell for a horse racing game. So together we divided time between the two types of gaming action. If they didn't have 2 seats available for us to sit and play together than we stayed away.

I'll admit my husband nearly had to drag me to Oklahoma, because I was perfectly content staying around here and having a nice little "staycation". But Brad really wanted to leave the state of Texas for a couple of days. Some of his co-workers suggested one of the casino resorts in Oklahoma for a quick getaway. Even though we aren't big on gambling it was still fun and it was a great resort to be at. It is basically in the middle of nowhere. There's not much around it. However the casino resort had all the food and attractions even a duo not too into gambling could want or desire. Once we arrived and parked our car we never left the premises for 3 days. The casino resort had added attractions like a movie theatre, an arcade, and a bowling alley. There was even a small food court in the area with the movie theatre and bowling alley. Definitely plenty to do even if you aren't a serious casino goer!
