In Brad's opinion this week was way too long. But Saturday has finally arrived. Any big plans? We will be enjoying the last weekend without tennis for awhile. Oh wait, allow me to rephrase that...I will be enjoying the last weekend without tennis for awhile. LOL! Brad's team tennis commitments begin next weekend. So from the 23rd of March until the end of May our Saturdays revolve around tennis. Even our Friday nights are all about tennis too. As he preps for his match.
Over the years we've gotten the right balance down to an art. I used to get really irritated by the team tennis seasons. I was fine when the season first started then after a few weeks I was ready to get my spouse back on Saturdays. I greatly missed going out to lunch or going to browse at stores or going to a movie, or just simply relaxing around the house with Brad. Those types of things mostly cease during team tennis seasons. It wasn't about the tennis and the "guy time" he had after his matches, it was about me feeling like I was missing out on spending time with my spouse. During the tennis seasons our Saturdays revolve around tennis. However, together we've figured out a better balance so I don't feel so "robbed"(for lack of a better word) of time with my spouse on a Saturday. Without going too deep into it I will say, his "daytime" can be devoted fully to tennis and then hanging out with his friends afterwards if he chooses but as for Saturday evening...it belongs to his wifey! As in wifey's choice! I'm easy on him. I'm pretty good at sensing what to suggest to go do depending on how long he was out with the guys and how well his match went. Wink-wink!
But anyway, as for this weekend...low key with a few little things in mind to go do. The weather is supposed to be quite nice which is extremely great in my opinion. I hope Springtime really has arrived to stay! I think it has...I have high hopes!
