Rather True

I saw this online just now, first I giggled then I thought how true this is. Actually this occurred late last night in our household. It was a little bit after midnight, Brad was busy playing video games in the living room, while I was getting ready for bed in our bathroom. While I was standing in the bathroom a light bulb went out. A light bulb in the recessed lighting on the ceiling not a bulb over the vanity. Slightly trickier to replace. Now maybe some could just walk away and leave it for the next day but I couldn't. I marched out of our room, down the hallway, and into the laundry room to get a spare bulb and the ladder. Even though Brad was engulfed in his video game world, the vision of me carrying a ladder down the hallway caught his glance. His video game was abruptly put on pause. The light bulb was quickly changed. It was kind of a two person job as it turned out. Too many pieces to hold for a person on a ladder. One person could have managed with a few trips up and down from the ladder.

I would however like to say I differ from the sign with the word "act". I never "act" like I'm going to do something just to get Brad to take note and then take over. No way, that's not me. I'm too independent for that. I "start" then he may take over depending on what the project is of course. In my mind that's an important difference. Truth be told, I get in trouble with Brad a lot for not asking for help more often.
