Got Gasoline?

Bubsy: What a week…what a week! Houston…we have a problem.

Sissy: We can’t catch a break. But Houston has it worse than us. We are currently dealing with the leftover rain from yet another hurricane. My hair is letting everyone know that this hurricane arrived with plenty of humidity. 

Bubsy: My hair is even affected by this humidity. So sissy, how is the power grid…Sissy is the resident power grid expert. 😉

Sissy: Failure! Epic failure again. It was barely fixed…or so they said it was fixed and then boom another hurricane arrived. My new advice is forget buying flashlights…get a generator that runs on gas. 

Bubsy: Wait a minute sissy, are you sure that’s a good idea?

Sissy: Oh how could I forget the great drama of our week. Mom needed gas and the city was running out of it. Then some idiot pushed the wrong button and knocked out service to most every gas station in our city. How in the world does that happen? 

Bubsy: Mom thankfully made it thru the work week but was literally riding on fumes to get home from work on Friday. Then dad took her car to go try to find a gas station with some gas. Price gauging was at a maximum for stations that had not yet run out. Most expensive gas dad has had to buy in a VERY long time. 

Sissy: It’s now of course, Sunday and some gas stations are still closed. I tell ya, we can’t catch a break. And rumor has it if Biden wins reelection Texas will separate from the United States. Are you kidding me? We can’t keep the lights on and we can’t fill our gas tanks and gas cans. We are screwed if we break away from the US. 

Bubsy: Don’t worry sissy…Biden will not win reelection. Because he dropped out of the race today. History was made in a big way. 

Sissy: So now who is running?

Bubsy: No clue. I have limited knowledge on most things political. 😉

Sissy: Probably Newsome. 🙄 He seems crazy enough to be chosen. 

Bubsy: Look at sissy…so political. 😆

Sissy: Not really. But I listen to a few names here and there. 

Bubsy: Let’s talk about what today is…it’s National Ice Cream day.🍦Yum! 

Sissy: I know mom has ice cream in the freezer for us. So we better get some or else I’ll let her know it’s not acceptable to deprive us of ice cream on national ice cream day. 

Bubsy: Well if we don’t get ice cream today, we’ll get it soon. This coming Friday the entire world will celebrate as I celebrate my bday. And we’ll get ice cream for my bday. I’m sure of it. 😉

Sissy: Oh please, the whole world? The whole world is not celebrating your bday. 🌎 

Bubsy: Yes, they are. They are celebrating because it’s the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympics. Hmm, I wonder what the theme of my party will be. 😉 Lol, my mom has had the theme planned for a year now. 

Sissy: The way I see it…there’s two possible themes for your bday. We shall see which one mom actually choses. She could go with the most obvious theme or she could go with a theme that matches a certain country. 🇫🇷 

Bubsy: Hmm, such a mystery. Either way, mom has been ready for weeks. She bought the decorations weeks ago. No matter what, I stand ready to eat ice cream and get new toys! I love toys! Let’s  wrap this up and go have a late lunch with our parents, sissy.
