Dog Days

Bubsy: It’s that time of the week again….time to make a post. It’s the dog days of summer, sissy, what are we going to do to get thru this heatwave?

Sissy: Stay inside and pretend the outside doesn’t exist. Plus pray mom doesn’t decide to make anything in the oven. 🥵

Bubsy: It’s a scorcher outside. But a small cooling trend is coming for us. 

Sissy: It better be.

Bubsy: Oh sissy, the heat doesn’t bother us. We just have to channel our dog heritage, after all our breed hails from Cuba. It’s muy caliente with lots of humidity. 🥵 

Sissy: I think I’m glad to be in Texas. I don’t need to experience Cuba.

Bubsy: Same here. So sissy, how was your week? 

Sissy: It wasn’t too bad. I was busy trying to keep up with mom. 

Bubsy: What a coincidence, I’ve been doing the same thing. Mom had a busy week. Per her usual. Another busy week ahead for her too.

Sissy: 🙄

Bubsy: So the Olympics are done but now the football season is upon us. Mom and I went to bed at halftime of the Cowboys game last night. 

Sissy: Trust me, you didn’t miss much. Although I don’t really know. I fell asleep too. 😴 

Bubsy: Mom has been busy cooking today. But she said we are going swimming later. I’m so excited! I love to be in the pool. 

Sissy: I’m not really that excited.

Bubsy: Sissy is not as big of a fan of the pool as I am. 

Sissy: I’ll only get in the water if mom is holding me. Getting out of a body of water and looking like a drowned rat and not a dog is not something I am fond of.

Bubsy: Oh sissy! Well as you can see from our pic below, one of us is ready and excited about the pool day. And one of us is screaming at mom for one of many reasons. 😬

Sissy: I didn’t like posing outside. I had to let her know. 🤨

Bubsy: Well sissy, let’s wrap this up…I need to get in the pool.
