Bubsy: Another strange week for us. Can you believe how crazy things have been, sissy?
Sissy: No. It’s rather unbelievable. I’m so tired of these crazy weather beeps and bells and sirens that go off, I could scream.
Bubsy: Well sissy, since you are the resident power grid correspondent let me ask you?…how is the power grid?
Sissy: Epic failure! 😣 That power grid failed so badly the issues in Texas made national news. Three whole days with no power. I almost lost it. If I had to be brushed by flashlight or candlelight one more morning…let’s just say someone was going to hear from me. 😡
Bubsy: We are some of the lucky ones. Some people are still without power. Grandpa borrowed a generator and brought it over so that made it manageable. We had power and the fans worked in the main living areas. Everything in the bedrooms and bathrooms were flashlight/candlelight zones. But boy oh boy, were we trying to conserve as much power as possible to keep the generator going.
Sissy: And going to a hotel was not an option. Because there’s not a room available in the city still. Hotels have massive generators so people flocked to hotels. Just like they did during the worst winter storm in the history of Texas a couple years ago. That was the first time the power grid failed. Which caused a massive 113 car pileup on the biggest freeway connecting Dallas and Fort Worth.
Bubsy: Geez, sissy how did you know all that. You weren’t even born yet. 😉
Sissy: I study, I know my Texas state history. 🤠
Bubsy: But never fear, they brought in extra generators for the arena so there’s a smaller chance of a national embarrassment of the lights going out during a championship hockey or a championship basketball game.
Sissy: I still strongly suggest anyone takes a flashlight with them when they head out to a game.
Bubsy: Let’s wrap this up and go get in a quick nap before the next round of storms hits us in a couple hours.
Sissy: Good idea. It might get too loud for us to sleep later tonight. ⛈️
Bubsy: Hope everyone has a great week! Our pic below appropriately explains the week in Texas….if you can even see us. 😉😆 We got all our necessities around us. Those lanterns are the best ever….or at least they are in our mom’s opinion.🏮
