Bubsy: Well hello there, and just like that it’s Sunday. Also known as football day. And today…the last day of summer! Are you ready for fall, sissy?
Sissy: I think so. I’m pumpkin spice and everything nice! 🎃
Bubsy: 😆….you must be kidding, you are rarely nice. Anyway moving on, pack your bags and go nowhere, sissy.
Sissy: Ha-ha, no kidding. Pack your bags and be stuck at the airport ALL day.
Bubsy: For those that live under a rock or do not live in our neck of the woods….Friday was a bizarre day in our state. The telecommunications system failed! I mean FAILED!
Sissy: They say it just “failed”…but I say….someone hacked our great state! Someone was trying to take us down. But you can’t take Texas down! We are bigger than that attempt at chaos!
Bubsy: As sissy alluded to…the complete failure of the telecommunications caused the airports to go into panic mode. Without communications they had to halt all flights. Flights already in the air had to be redirected to Oklahoma or Louisiana. And flights that hadn’t taken off were grounded. This continued for hours upon hours…more than 7,000 people were affected. Either stranded in Dallas, stuck waiting for their flight, or taken to Oklahoma or Louisiana. Even our home teams, the Cowboys and the Rangers were stuck waiting to leave for their games.
Sissy: Well I must say….there are worse places to be stuck! Stuck in Dallas or stuck in Beirut?
Bubsy: Good point, sissy! I hope some of the 7,000 people grounded at the airport had that same thought. 😉 But seriously, it was like the humans had to return to the 80s or 90s before computers took over everything. Moving along, but still speaking of flights….didn’t you almost learn to fly the other day?
Sissy: I wish. I tried and failed miserably.
Bubsy: What happened? I was in the other room when this near calamity occurred.
Sissy: I was on the counter and mom was brushing my hair. I thought she was done so I took a mini leap towards mom. She turned at the same time I was flying towards her. Next thing I know, I’m falling thru the air and mom is doing her best to try to break my fall. She then scooped me up and checked me over. I was dazed and confused. 😵💫
Bubsy: I arrived on the scene when mom had just picked you up and was freaking out that you might be injured. 😱
Sissy: Oh geez! It was quite the tumble but I was okay thanks to mom helping to break my fall.
Bubsy: Thankfully you were fine. Perhaps it’s time to wrap this up and get back to watching football, almost time for the Cowboys game. We have two pics below as we are celebrating the beginning of autumn a day early, plus we included a pic of mom and little me after she got home from pirate day at her school. I was dressed up like a pirate too. 🏴☠️ Wishing all a great week! 🐾
