Blanket Bubsy

Bubsy: Welcome to September…welcome to fall y’all! Yes, I know it’s not technically fall…but it feels like fall here. We made it thru a two day heatwave and then in typical Texas fashion…we woke up to fall. 

Sissy: Gotta love Texas. I call it the “Texas switch”. Go to sleep and it’s a heatwave, wake up and fall greets you. Crazy! The temperature dropped 30 degrees overnight on Friday.

Bubsy: For many weeks mom has had a beach party planned to celebrate our uncle’s bday. The party was yesterday, on Saturday….the day we woke up to fall weather. 😬

Sissy: Just mom’s luck to have a beach themed party on a cloudy rainy fall day. 😉😆

Bubsy: No matter the party theme it was still quite the party, which has made me extra tired today. I was very busy getting lots of bonus attention. Which I deserve!😉😆

Sissy: As for me, I did my best to annoy grandpa. And as for grandma she was trying to get on my good side. But I let it be known I wasn’t interested. 

Bubsy: Will you ever allow grandma to be loving towards you?

Sissy: Nope, because I’m not that desperate for attention. 

Bubsy: On that silly comment, let’s change gears, Football is fully back. Cowboys lost their first game. Are you surprised about that, sissy?

Sissy: Nope! Not surprised one bit. I’m thinking they’ll have quite a few more losses.

Bubsy: Well I’m more optimistic. Based on how they played against the champs I think they might be better than we think. 

Sissy: That will be our entire city’s hope!

Bubsy: What else is going on in our world?…wait the lights are out…oh geez, literally as I’m typing this mom says she’s cold. Dad throws her a blanket and the lights go out. As in, I couldn’t see anything because the blanket dad threw landed on my head. Couldn’t see a thing until mom thankfully helped me out. 🙄

Sissy: I’m going to call you “blanket Bubs”.

Bubsy: I’m fine with that. We are both very fond of blankets. Blankets rather than towels. Nothing better than a cozy blanket in the fall and winter.  We Well we should wrap this up so we can go watch some football! Hope everyone out there has a good week and enjoys the early Fall temperatures. 🍁
