Bubsy: Oh little sissy….where you at?

Sissy: Probably in Texas at the state fair. 🎡 😉

Bubsy: Well I know you are not probably in Texas. You’re definitely in Texas! But you aren’t at the state fair. But if you stop by the fair get me a fried turkey leg. 🍗 

Sissy: In my dreams at night I’m at the state fair munching out. Have you seen the list of foods at the fair this year, bro? It’s loco!

Bubsy: Nope, I’m out of the know on this one. But I am well aware since I’m a born and raised Texan….that the state fair of Texas is a major…I mean MAJOR culinary delight. Tons of food categories to compete in. Tell us more, sissy.

Sissy: I got one word…Wagyu! It’s the new “in thing”. Back in the day Kobe beef was the “in thing”, well move over Kobe beef and make room for Wagyu beef. So does a Wagyu bacon cheeseburger deviled egg slider tickle your fancy? Or what about a beef brisket and beer stuffed pretzel? Or maybe a deep fried taco? Or for your sweet tooth…a deep fried cotton candy taco or deep fried key lime pie bombs?💣 But the ULTIMATE food creating the biggest buzz this year is the….drum roll please….El Cono Loco, which is chicken spaghetti deep fried inside a hatch chile pepper with a generous amount of queso in a pastry shell. And all I have to say is….ONLY IN TEXAS! Only in Texas would someone think to combine chicken spaghetti and a Tex-Mex pepper in a pastry shell. 🌶️ 

Bubsy: I second that, ONLY IN TEXAS! We are loco for sure. I don’t know about other state fairs but ours here is very known for deep fried everything. Deep fried twinkies, Oreos, snickers, pickles, mushrooms, jalapeños, bacon, turkey legs, and even deep fried butter on a stick. Those of you not in Texas….try to wrap your head around all that. 🤯 Enough about the food at the fair. Let’s move on to our crazy mom. 

Sissy: Oh no, she’s a complicated topic. 😬 

Bubsy: No more complicated than you are. 😉😆 It was superhero day at mom’s school this past Thursday and mom went to work as Batgirl! 🦇 

Sissy: Oh the Batgirl experience…I was fine with the costume but then she put a big bat mask over her face. That’s when I flipped out. 🦇 

Bubsy: Yep, sissy flipped her lid when mom put the mask on. 😆🦸‍♀️ Or should I say, sissy went batty! 😆🦇

Sissy: In case anyone is keeping a list of things I don’t like, add a bat mask to the list. 🦇 

Bubsy: If all that going on wasn’t enough we also experienced every season in a one week timespan. 

Sissy: Summer reappeared for about 48 hours then BAM…the storm clouds opened up and fall temperatures came back to the forefront.

Bubsy: Let the rainy season begin. Get your Uber driver on standby, sissy. 

Sissy: Mercy! 

Bubsy: Time to put a wrap on this post and get in long naps before the primetime Cowboys game. 🏈 Plus, sissy it will be a big week for us so we definitely have to rest up. We got two celebrations this week…my gotcha day and momma’s celebrating a bday too. Our pic below is a bit humorous when you notice sissy is wearing a “bat” bandana. Yep sissy, the anti bat mask little girl that she is, is wearing a bat today on her bandana. I think mom planned it that way. 😉🦇 I think mom gets the last laugh on the bat situations of the week. My bandana has a bat on it too but the bat is up near my neck and mostly covered by my fur. Anyway, have a great week, try not to go batty. 🦇😆
