Bubsy: Welcome to our Sunday. Welcome to our never ending party blog. Sissy, where are you at?
Sissy: I’m still partying at the Cotton Bowl after that big win yesterday. ð
Bubsy: The Red River belongs to us this year.
So another celebration happened in our house besides the big game…the cat turned a dozen! And she celebrated with a tuna cake.
Sissy: Yuck! Sounds gross to me. But she ate it all.
Bubsy: So sissy, how did you sleep last night?
Sissy: Oh my, it was awful. I was trapped in an annoying situation. Beep! Doze off…then BEEEEP again. The beeping was followed by an irritating voice.
Bubsy: Mom along with the two of us were awakened by the annoying beep of the smoke detector that was trying to tell our parents to change the battery.
Sissy: I’m not sure which is worse, the irritating beep or the voice that comes after the beep telling the humans to change the battery.
Bubsy: It’s a toss up. The beep and the talking voice are both creepy to me.
Sissy: Dad was still awake when it started happening but he didn’t feel like changing the battery. He told mom he’d change it in the morning.
Bubsy: Mom was not exactly satisfied with dad’s choice to not change the battery until morning. However, she tried to go back to bed and sleep thru it. But next thing I knew, mom was bouncing up out of bed and flying down the hallway. Then the next thing I saw was mom dragging the step ladder into the bedroom. Of course, next thing that happened….the beeping stopped! Peace reigned in our household again. And I could get my handsome sleep! ðī
Sissy: I’m just happy mom took care of it because having to listen to that beep and the voice all night long may have pushed me over the edge.
Bubsy: Last thing we need is to have you going over the edge. The world doesn’t need your kind of crazy occurring. As it is you walk on the edge daily. ðĪŠ
Sissy: Don’t I know it!
Bubsy: Time to wrap this up and get back to occupying momma’s lap. It’s Sunday which means I’m a lazy lap dog today. Plus all other days when a lap is available. ðð Big week for our mom, it’s parent-teacher conference week and they are drastically short of teachers. So she needs to rest up today and I am the perfect snuggle partner. Have a great week everyone!
