I forgot to mention the second part of the story of my new shirt. Before I get to that let me just add putting on the TCU shirt is the first time I've ever worn another college's shirt. Yes, folks up until today I've only....ONLY.....worn ASU. I must admit when I was a naïve 5 year old I truly thought ASU was the only university in the country. I then realized there were lots of schools coming in town to play them each week so there must be other school's in the nation. LOL! Let's just say I simply grew up thinking ASU was the only school that mattered! ;)
Now for the second part of my story. Brad bought himself a shirt while he was out today. First I'm dealing with him showing me the TCU shirt he bought me and was insisting I try on right away when I look up to notice the shirt he bought himself. Oh the shock....the horror! He bought a NIKE football shirt. Now with that description one can't understand the issue! The football feature on the shirt is amazing I will admit, the shock and horror was the colors. It's just a football shirt, it doesn't support any specific team but the colors made me think of a despised rival of my Sun Devils. It's a green shirt with a yellowish-gold colored football depiction. Can you say Oregon Ducks? No way! I instantly said, "You can't wear that....it's Oregon duck colors!" He said he wasn't in love with the colors as it reminded him of the Green Bay Packer's but he liked the football depiction too much to not buy it.
Our conversation continued. I then told Brad there are 2 universities in this country our future kids are not allowed to attend. I elaborated by explaining if our child comes to us some day and says: "Mom and Dad, I'm going to Oregon for college or Mom and Dad, I'm going to USC for college."....Brad will have to physically restrain me! My husband then laughed as I went on! He laughed because he knows it's true. The only thing that might save the poor future kid is if he or she leads with...."mom and dad, I got a full ride scholarship to Oregon".....otherwise look out feathers will fly! Pun intended! ;) Feathers will fly and I'll likely have a branch of the military on speed dial! LOL!
