I continue to be cautiously optimistic! I'm pleased with the strides little Pipey-Pipe has made. This morning at dawn's early rise, once I walked into the pet sleeping quarters she got up out of her bed on her own and took a tiny drink of kitty milk then sat down.
Upon feeding her breakfast this morning, she seemed to be showing me signs that she was nearly ready to start back to eating on her own. By the time lunchtime rolled around she was enjoying a small lunch of canned food without any water mixed in along with a side of kitty milk. I've been watering down the canned food so it would go into a syringe. I'll be very relieved to not have to take that extra step. Plus she'll be getting the bulk of the substance now too, not something watered down.
Hopefully, she continues along this path! Fingers-crossed!!! She has all our love and support! I can certainly tell she has more determination now too. That was the scariest thing last week at this time, she gave all indications that she was ready to throw in the towel. Appears her sheer will is back. Look out boys, your little sis might be biting at your knees very soon or attempting to ride you! The boys can use a little extra excitement! I'm sure they've missed the usual Piper the last 10 days or so.
