Option 3!

Was this a long week or what? Seemed to go by at snail speed.  Today has been an off day for Brad since he worked last Saturday.

Last night we were both anxious to get our dose of pre-season football as the Cowboys opened their pre-season. Thank goodness football season is around the corner!  Poor Brad is not predicting good things for the Cowboys this season. He also has a sneaky suspicion Romo will not be the QB all year.  As he told me last night...."Get used to seeing Weedon."

Piper has been a little under the weather today.  Hopefully, she is back to her usual Pipey self by tomorrow. Quite confused as to why she is not feeling so great. Too many treats? Or maybe a different type of treat then what she's used to?  I'm a little iffy on whether or not she can handle certain flavors of treats. I'm thinking the turkey flavored treats are not for our Pipe.  It's all one big experiment. One thing is for sure she loves milk flavored treats, beyond that it's a bit of a gamble!

Cody's been struggling with an ear infection and eye infection!  Geesh, these kids of ours! Simon's been good!  Ornery as ever!  Actually he's a very good boy he just has a little different style then the other two.  He tends to not worry about getting in trouble as much as the other two.

Today we got up super early!  As early as we get up on church days. Which means I was walking the dogs as it was getting light out.  We got going so early in order to take the Pathfinder in for some system updates.  I couldn't believe Brad made such an early appointment for us. I was thinking he was crazy when he told me our appointment time a few days ago.  In the end I'm so glad it was an early appointment for a few reasons. First off, we were done by noon. However, the main reason is we are still sharing the Pathfinder. Brad's car remains in the shop until early next week.  So that meant we had to go to option 3 today for transportation...Brad's motorcycle.  I drove the Pathfinder while Brad drove his motorcycle to the dealership. We dropped off the Pathfinder then went on the motorcycle to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a leisure breakfast out.

I'm still adjusting to being a passenger on a motorcycle.  It's not my absolute favorite thing to be riding on.  I can certainly see it would be fun to drive but being a passenger and having zero control is a bit hard in my opinion. I think I do quite well on surface streets, getting me on the freeway or the access road of the freeway and that's when my uncomfortable meter rises up in an instant. The thing that was getting to me today was the access road of the freeway combined with the heat. It wasn't terribly hot but when you have all the motorcycle gear on it's certainly not cool. Not to mention our gear is mostly black, which draws that darn sunlight. Like I said before, thank goodness Brad made the appointment so early in the morning. I couldn't have imagined riding around in the late afternoon wasting time like we did this morning as we waited on the Pathfinder.

Once we got back home Brad commented that it felt like we had a full day already and it was only noon. LOL! I agreed! There's wasting away time because you have nothing better to do, no agenda. Then there's the wasting away time because you HAVE to waste time in order to move on to the next portion of your day.  The second one isn't as much fun overall yet we made it fun.  We did our best to make an adventure out of those few hours this morning. As for this afternoon we've spent most of it relaxing. Perhaps we'll continue to relax some from the long week with a stay at home movie night!
