August Arrives

Well hello August! Where is the year going? It's marching on by, isn't it? The first week for us back to the grind after our stay-cation. August started with a few days of rain in a row. Cody was delighted! Not! Everyone else was delighted for sure.

The last couple of days Brad has been walking to work because he has a dead battery in his car. Yes, we live on property and he walks to work. We don't live super close to the office. He can certainly save a few minutes by driving. Which is especially important at his lunch break. Who wants to give up 10-12 minutes walking to and from the office when you have limited time on your lunch break? Anyway, we have an appointment in a little while to get the battery changed out. We'll have to jump his car before we can head out.

It was quite cute on Thursday and Friday when I took Cody with me to go pick up Brad at the office at the close of the workday. He likes going in the pathfinder. He sits perfectly on the floor in the front passenger seat. He completely reminded me of when he was a brand new pup riding in a little box I brought him home in.

It's Hall of Fame weekend. I'm ready for the speeches tonight. Quite something that it was Cards vs. Cowboys on Thursday at the Hall of Fame. I loved it! Sit up and take notice...Blaine Gabbert was a great pick-up in the off-season. Glad to get Cowboys-Cards match-up over with early! ;) Actually I haven't looked to see if they meet up against one another in the regular season! I kind of hope not! Peace in our household is always a good thing! Although, I'm a winner either way. As for Brad watching his team lose to the Cards is digestible too! He can cope with it much better than a loss to any other team. LOL!
