Too Fast

Is it just me or has this weekend been flying by? My husband is back in action, he can drive to work in the morning! He's a happy guy! We got the car battery changed out yesterday afternoon. There's quite the interesting story that goes along with the solving of the dead battery but I'm not saying a thing. My lips are sealed! If I was to tell the extra side story of the battery situation I'd likely be stuck sleeping in the pet quarters with Cody and Piper tonight. LOL! Yep, my lips are sealed. To my husband, don't worry honey we'll continue to laugh about it for years to come! ;) And it will stay between us! :)

While we waited for Brad's car to be done we braved the mall which was down the street. It's tax-free weekend here in Texas so I was thinking the mall was going to look like it does just a few days before Christmas. We randomly browsed before going back to get Brad's car.

Our evening was taken up partly by the enshrinement ceremony. Wow, the speeches! I don't mean "wow" in a good way. We couldn't take it, we had to change the channel. First time in quite a few years we've turned off the enshrinement. The speeches were too preachy...just my opinion. Preachy in the way that they seemed to be hinting at some controversial issues, but maybe we were misreading their points. Please no one out there feel the need to send me an email...this is only my opinion regarding last night's less than stellar speeches! Anyway, we did keep checking in because we couldn't miss Jerry Jones or Kurt! They saved the 2 best for last....once again, just my opinion! I enjoyed both their speeches! Especially Jerry's...because he told stories! I like good stories in speeches.

So that's been our weekend, thus far. Maybe a movie night for us tonight. Either Redbox movie night or it's going to be a game night. Hope everyone out there is enjoying a good Sunday! These weekends go by too fast! Is it almost Sunday evening?
