Hurricane Harvey is on it's way. I'm well informed thanks to my advanced weather app on my phone. Trust me if you live in Texas and you walk dogs, you need a fancy weather app on your phone. Anyway, earlier this afternoon my weather app started going crazy sending me the latest weather reports on Hurricane Harvey. We've already had quite a bit of rain this week and thanks to Harvey more is coming. There are two ponds at this complex and I noticed how full they both are when I walked Cody this morning.
Speaking of Cody and the wet weather, the last two mornings little Cody has been forced to do his morning walk in the rain. Terribly sad, I know. We've been lucky though, it's been raining but not bad enough to not go on the walk. But don't ask Cody his opinion on how bad the rain has been. Anyway, there I am walking Cody along yesterday morning when I couldn't help noticing these 3 things:
-There's no pulling on the leash!
-There's no pug digging his heels into the ground refusing to go.
-There's no pug scoffing in disbelief that the weather dares to get him wet.
I turned around and looked him over real good. Then said to him, "Who are you? Where's my Cody?" I then thought to myself, "it's like I'm walking Simon not Cody." As a matter of fact if I didn't know any better I'd believe Simon has been on the last two morning walks not Cody. Simon was easy-going, nothing fazed him. Nothing! Rain, sunshine, 20 degrees, 110 degrees...he was up for anything. Cody's not like that. Cody believes it should be 85 degrees, sunny, and never rain every day of his life. :) Perhaps, Cody has turned over a new leaf, he's decided to enjoy the rain! LOL!
