Time To Post

What can I say?...life gets busy! Time for a post. Actually overdue for a post.

Yesterday Cody and I made a trip to Petsmart to donate to the Houston pets. Cody donated a bag of dog food and on behalf of his little cat-sister he donated a bag of cat food too. He also directed me as to which toys he was willing to give up, so we took a few toys with us to throw in the box to be sent to Houston. After hurricanes and tornadoes animal shelters are in major need and are very overcrowded. People may evacuate but leave behind their animals, sadly. Safe to say, I'd never do that! Cody and Piper would be riding shotgun if there was ever a need to evacuate.

No Cowboys-Texans game tomorrow night. It was first moved from Houston to Arlington but this morning it was canceled. My husband is a little disappointed. He was looking forward to watching something other than Hurricane coverage on TV tomorrow night. Although the US Open started on Monday so he gets a nice distraction with it. :) 

In other non-news, Piper has discovered a new hiding spot in our place. Man, is she hard to get to when in that spot too. Cats love to make their human parents look for them. Dogs are not like that. You call for your dog, he/she comes running. I like that! That being said if your dog can still hear. Cats, however, love to make you look for them. It's a game to a cat. The other morning I spent way too much time looking for Piper. Finally realized she's getting into the space between the wall and TV stand. It's perfectly sized for my little stinker! LOL!
