Stuck

Cody, oh Cody! Life with Cody is always interesting. He's got quite the personality and he gets himself into some interesting situations. The other night he definitely got himself into a bit of a jam.

There we were sitting in our living room enjoying live tennis action from Cincinnati, I got up to dole out the treats to the pets at their evening treat time. Cody is so used to his evening treat time there's no way he'd let me forget. Piper's just as, shall I say, "demanding". LOL! A few minutes later I hear Cody whine. Now let me remind the world, Cody is the most vocal in our household. It used to be Storm but she passed the torch to Cody. He whines so much it's hard to detect when the whine is meaningful and when it's only for dramatic affect. Couple minutes later I hear another whine from Cody, the second whine was followed up by a third whine with little time between. I noticed the third whine sounded more urgent. Next I sprang to my feet and started to walk towards our kitchen where I last knew Cody to be as he munched on his treat, on my way I hear Cody whine again. At that point I look down and off to the side where Piper's tunnel system is, I quickly spot Cody stuck in the tunnel. Oh my!

I comment to Brad that Cody's stuck then add the lovely question of, "how are we going to get him out?" Cody-man doesn't hear well enough to take a command to walk towards us thru the tunnel. Brad immediately thinks to take the tunnel system apart. But before taking Piper's tunnel apart I realized I can get my arms pretty far into a portion of the tunnel. So there I am down on my hands and knees trying to grab Cody then pull him backwards out of the tunnel. Now here's the thing...this is Cody! He is dramatic! So he was not at all calm during this process. In fact as soon as help was on the scene he seemed to freak out more, his whine turned to panic super fast. Therefore, trying to get him to stay calm and keep his limbs from being "scarecrow" like was the hardest part. Within a couple minutes, which likely seemed like hours to Cody, he was a free pug. Meanwhile, Brad stands over the scene completely cracking up over the latest predicament of Code-man!

I'm still confused how he got in the tunnel? Why he walked into the tunnel? He's not small enough to walk thru it with ease. We were a little too panicked as well though to snap a photo of stuck Cody. But he's likely glad his moment of panic wasn't photographed! LOL!

Well being stuck in Piper's tunnel system isn't completely new...there was another little man that got stuck once too. However, he was stuck only in the cube section, it was before the tunnels were added to the cube to create quite the tunnel system for a lively cat. Simon was in pursuit of a rawhide, he didn't care he got stuck in the cube. The first video is a little blurry, but you can still see things. The second video is more clear. Notice the little cat-sister surveying what her bro is doing in her cube.
