Easter Weekend!

Easter weekend has arrived.  I love Easter!  The only bad thing about today is Brad is stuck working.  So I'm on my own for the day.  I'm already super spoiled to having my mate with me on weekends so when a Saturday rolls around that he has to work I walk around like a lost puppy dog.  Well maybe not completely lost but it's definitely harder getting through the day when it's a day he's typically home with me.

Today though there are lots of things to do since Easter is tomorrow.  Brad's family will gather at his Granny's farm for the Easter day celebration. I'm making spinach dip, mini-meatballs, and lots of cupcakes for the occasion.  I want to do 3 different kinds of cupcakes.  But I might only be able to get 2 different kinds done.  I'll see how much time it all takes.  My afternoon will be spent getting as much of the Easter items we're taking done. 

I like to make cupcakes, their definitely fun.  Plus you get a chance to be creative with the decorating.  However, I'll admit I never think of cupcakes as easy.  I'm sure some people do.  You have to mix them, bake them, wait for them to cool, then frost and decorate them.  They're a little time consuming.  I think anything cake-related is a bit time consuming because of the frosting and decorating part.  I have some good ideas for the decorating of the three kinds of cupcakes so hopefully it will all turn out well.

We had a noisy thunderstorm last night, that rocked us and made me wonder if a person can be struck by lightening through the window.  The storms that pass through are certainly loouder and more un-nerving when you live as high up as we do now.  For most of the week rain has been predicted for Easter but then they recently changed that prediction so who knows.  Well,  I must be going as I want to take my husband some lunch at his work.
