No Power, No Internet, Sad Cody

I had a frustrating day yesterday.  First off I was dealing with internet issues.  I was actually on the phone with the internet provider being transferred from low level tech support to mid level tech support then to high level tech support when I somehow got disconnected.  At that point I decided to go walk the boys.  As we approached the elevator the power went out.  Thank goodness the elevator doors didn't close all the way.  We narrowly escaped being stuck in the elevator.  We then proceeded down the stairs to get outside.  Once outside I saw cars lined up in the garage with no way out since there was no power to open the parking garage door.

I told Brad when we moved here that this place would be interesting to deal with when a power outage occurs.  A power outage here means pitch black hallways, no elevators, no parking garage access, and no building access from the outside.  The doors of the building only open from the inside if there's no power to operate the remote access.

Later on while the power was still out I look over to notice Cody sobbing.  So now I have internet issues, no power, and a sobbing Cody.  Oh my!  I've never seen a dog sob with big tears rolling down his face until Cody came into my life.  He's a unique one!  What he was crying about I'm not sure.  Maybe he was upset that there was an alarm sounding every 10 seconds due to the power being out. No clue! It was a bit frustrating but I made the best of it, at least I could laugh about it.  When days like that come along it's frustrating yet I typically try to laugh it off.  For some reason when Cody started crying is when I started to see a bit of humor in all that was going on at the same time.

I'm happy to say my day today was much better.  I even tried something new to make for dinner.  I made my first ever pork tenderloin.  Neither of us is big on pork but we coincidently like the same types of pork.  I actually made a steak marinade for the pork.  It worked, we both liked it.  I'll make it again just like that.  Only difference will be is that I'll start it earlier.  I didn't realize it would take so much time.
