"Honey, I can't find my keys!"

Those that regularly read this blog might remember the time I couldn't find my cellphone.  I looked and looked for that darn phone.  I finally gave up and replaced it.  Only to find it on a rainy day when I needed a water repellant coat.  Some way some how that cellphone found it's way into the hood of my coat and I never realized it as the coat sat in my car for weeks.

Well there was a new ridiculous "I can't find...." moment.  This time it was my keys.  I came home from the store.  Took the boys out then upon coming home I took the garbage to the trash chute. After that I began to fix dinner.  Hours rolled by.  It was soon late evening and time for the boys last walk of the day.  That's when I noticed my keys were not hanging in the usual spot they are supposed to hang.  Brad's keys were there but mine were missing.  I began searching for them.  I looked in my purse.  After all that's the most likely item that gets dropped to the bottom of a woman's purse and sometimes stays hidden. Nope not in the purse. Brad soon started helping me look too. Nothing made sense as to why they weren't in plain sight.  I needed my keys to get in the building and to get into our home.  I couldn't have accidentally thrown them down the trash chute because I was able to get back into our home after going to the trash chute.  So where could they possibly be?

We finally decided to take the boys out for their walk then come back to continue looking for the keys, we had Brad's set to get in and out.  As I put on my shoes to go out Brad reached in the closet to grab the boys leashes to leash them up.  Both boys stood nearby waiting.  As Brad pulled the leashes out he let them dangle for a second until I looked up at him and the leashes....there my keys were ever so slightly tangled in one of the leash handles.  I couldn't believe it!  I couldn't believe how they remained there and didn't fall.  And I couldn't believe I never realized they were tangled in the leashes when I put the leashes in the coat closet. We both had a good laugh about this new incident then recalled and compared it to the cellphone incident as we walked the boys.  Geez, what a dork I am sometimes!
