Ah yes, time change has occurred! Springing forward I don't like very much at first. It's a little difficult to get used to for the first few days especially in the Spring when you go forward an hour. Overall though I prefer being 2 hours ahead of Phoenix than only 1 hour. It just seems easier to find a decent time to call my mom when there's 2 hours in difference. The other good thing about the Spring time change is that it's a piece of cake to get the boys adjusted. Things will be happening an hour earlier than they happened yesterday, Simmie's got zero issue with that.. However, little does he know I have figured out this is a perfect time to change the boys dinnertime. I think the later they eat the better they sleep at night. Or at least that's what I'm hoping. Now that we're all under one roof our nights are longer than they used to be so I need to stretch out their dinnertime and snack time just a bit.
We have been enjoying a long 3 day weekend. Brad got Friday off since he worked the previous Saturday. What have we done this weekend? Nothing. We've stayed in quite a bit playing games and enjoying hanging out at home. It threatened rain all day yesterday then poured last night so staying in has felt good. Today it's sunny but don't be fooled it's cold with strong winds whipping around. As I type this the boys are currently in their beds huddled in front of their space heater and Storm is laying between us on the couch curled up on top of our red throw.
Last night we got so into a game on the Xbox we were up to welcome in time change. Have you ever heard of the game Plants vs. Zombies? We got it and were completely addicted to it last night. We've played it some before last night but for some reason we got totally into it. We would each do 2 rounds then trade off to the other person. It's such a crazy game. You have a backyard that you have to protect from zombies. You have to "plant" different items in your backyard in an effort to ward off the zombies. It's a constant battle. When I would play my hands would get all sweaty from gripping the controller, you don't dare take your eyes off the screen for more than a mere second if that. It reminded me of how I used to feel when I played Nintendo back in my youth. It was like my Mario Bros. addiction all over again! Ha Ha! We have a blockbuster movie sitting around our house we planned on watching last night but we were way too into Plants vs. Zombies to change gears. The plan is to watch the movie tonight....we'll see if it happens or if Plants vs. Zombies rules the evening again. What can I say?...we like games. And we like similar progressive type games too. We have no trouble finding entertaining things to do.
