Happy Birthday Simon!

 

Thursday was Simon's birthday.  The plan was of course to celebrate it on Thursday.  However, Cody was a little under the weather and the decision was made to postpone Simon's bday cake eating fest until Friday night. 

Tonight we had cake for the boys and they opened presents.  Which they loved!  Storm got a gift too!  I got the boys 2 Angry Birds toys.  One is the pig and the other is the red Angry Bird.  They make little noises like the actual game.  Luckily the noises they make are low and not distracting to us. 

Oh geez, one year I bought Cody a birthday cake that played the "Happy Birthday" tune.  Cody loved it!  He loved the size of the stuffed cake and the many candles made it perfect to grab on to for tug-o-war.  Plus he loved making it sing!  Mommie on the other hand was less than thrilled with this toy and thought many times about throwing it out.  But low and behold Simon to the rescue.  He's rough on everything!  One day he took it and slammed it with all his might...killing the music box inside!  Hooray Simmie!  He got an extra treat the day he broke that singing cake!

 

Simon loved eating his birthday cake!  It was kind of funny this evening, after the boys and Storm opened gifts Simon expected his cake pronto!  I saw him staring at me and I told him he had to wait a little longer.  What did he do? He promptly turned his head to Brad flashing him his most pathetic look in an effort to weaken Brad. He has it figured out.  If he can't get what he wants from me, well he has another person to bug now.  Not going to work Simmie but nice try!
